RC Plane, RC Amphibious Plane, 2.4Ghz RC 980feet Distance, Can Fly for 30 Minutes Foam Drone RTF Plane with Gyro and Batteries, rc Planes for Beginners (Blue)

I had another one of these two channel type RC airplanes. They both work on the same idea: use two brushed motors from small quadcopters to power and steer air plane. The other one I had before was a bit smaller than this one, but it also used smaller motors. That plane was WAY more fun to fly than this one. It also had amazing range. I eventually lost it due to it being so far beyond sight, that I couldn't figure out the orientation, but I could see that even over half a mile away, I was still controlling it. This one, for some reason, when I get it flying about 500 ft in the air, it seems to lose control and start to descend on its own. More about that.So, I had high hopes for this thing since the other one I had that was similar to this was way fun to fly. But, this thing is kind of a chore. It does NOT glide very well. It seems like the center of gravity is more forward, so when you cut all power, the plane tends to nose dive, whereas my other plane always glided -- which made it way more fun to fly. What I liked to do with my first plane, before I lost it, was get it WAY high up in elevation. Probably like 500'. Then, I cut all power, and let it glide. That plane carried velocity like nothing, and it just cut through the air like a dart. It was so much fun to fly. But, this one? It just like nose dives like crazy. The only time when this doesn't happen is when it is going upwind. Then it tends to stay stable in flight. Otherwise, you have to add a bit of throttle to have it stay level. The other big issue with this plane is that it doesn't turn very well.My first plane had great turning radius. Even on unpowered glides, it was easy to control and navigate to do full spirals on descends. This plane? It turns like a couch on wheels. It's moves more like a bomber than a fighter plane. And, the worst thing is, if you do try to turn while trying to glide descend, it will start to nose dive fairly quickly. You will need to power up the throttle a bit to have it stay stable.All in all, this was a very disappointing 2 Ch RC, and I wouldn't recommend it for even beginners. It's just boring. It might make for a decent park flyer for a really young flyer. But, for anyone else, it will be a bore fest.

Very well designed craft which protects the props from damage, not like other RCs I'vve seen on Amazon. My 8yo and I have ditched it countless time in a grassy park with no visible damage. Due to the design the props never contact the ground even in crashes. It does struggle in the wind but thats part of the challenge. Recommend first flights in no wind to get the feel. The range is decent for its size. Will buy another to have two. Very happy with it overall. would recommend to friends and family.

The plane can with stand some pretty bad crashes. It is very fun to fly. It must be very calm to fly outside. The small propellers cannot over come any wind.

The media could not be loaded. Take flight with the XYDongtong RC Blue Jet Plane for all out fun on land, sea and in the air of course! This amphibious plane is so easy to use but does take practice for successful flights ( Our family is still working on it).Definitely a GREAT beginner's RC plane ( and yes, even adults can have fun with this one).Its lightweight body ( made of Styrofoam) is durable with good speed and maneuverability. It ascends and descends quickly and smoothly ( only after many practice runs). We show how fast it can take off on kitchen floor first day right out of the box. Its FAST!Everything about this jet is awesome but I did remove a review star because description mentions (2) batteries, ( I received only 1) and the instructions did not show nor explain where the compartment is for battery installation ( Its oblivious its under the protruding black plastic upright lever but was very tight in place).We have a bay in our backyard and plane in fact does well on water. Smooth run, barely any skips.I like the rubber nose in case of nose dives and crashes.Total flight time is about 10 minutes.Overall, amazing flights, outstanding fun for our entire family, good price and good packaging still deserves a full hearty recommendation. I would of given 5-Stars if it weren't for the 2 minor issues mentioned. Honestly, this XYDongtong RC Jet is just Plane FAST n FUN!

This is such a cool toy plane. It is foam-like material, similar to the glider plane toys which makes it very lightweight. It comes with a couple extra propellers in case of a crash landing. It zips along quickly and has been hours of entertainment for my kiddo and I already. The tip is a soft, hollow silicone tip which seems to keep the plane from crashing too hard into something. The remote is easy to use and straightforward. It works on land and though I haven't tried it over water I'm sure it would do well. The battery lasts a good while so it's been a great time playing with this thing. If you have space or a park nearby where you can let this puppy zoom around, it's a great pickup.

This RC plane is fun to fly around, but very hard to control properly, I don't like that it does not have any landing gear, but it seems like it's also supposed to be able to land in water, I have not tried that yet.Only really for very calm days, even if there is a bit of wind this will get blown around alot

This amphibious plane is controlled by remote control, and it’s easy to use. It’s perfect for kids any ages, and it’s lightweight. It’s durable, and has great maneuverability. It’s a great value for the money, and I would recommend it.

I really do like this little plane don't get me wrong, it takes off easily and flies straight they managed to get the balancing right on the trim so it doesn't roll to one side or the other, not too front heavy or back heavy. But it struggles in any type of moderate wind. And the flight time is only about twelve minutes maybe I don't know it seems more like eight though. I think if it had stronger engines or perhaps wasn't a beginner I would like it more.
