AND 1 Men's Tai Chi Basketball Shoe

I needed an outdoor basketball shoe that wouldn't break the bank. The adhesive on my Nike shoes had failed and the soles were coming off. I had a gift card for Amazon, so I decided to do a bit of shoe hunting and came across these And1s. After reading the reviews, I ordered a half size up.Shoes came a few days early, which is nice.FIRST IMPRESSION: The shoe looks good. I like the color scheme. Soles have a nice rubberized surface and seem to be durable (fingers crossed). I can't see any defects as far as the adhesive that holds the sole to the shoe. Inside has nice thick padding with good ankle support. I like the all synthetic design, as I'm a vegan and don't relish wearing dead cow skin.As I mentioned, I ordered a size 11, which is a half-size up from what I usually wear. They fit very nicely. Foot feels snug and comfortable, good padding and not too much arch support, which I really hate. Ankle support feels pretty good and they are very grippy with that nice rubberized sole. I like the laces and the shiny metallic plates on both sides. Overall, just a good looking shoe that feels as good as it looks.Will update after actually playing some playground ball in them. So far, I can't complain, it feels like I found a really good deal at $30.

Color is actually a very bold teal. Much darker than shown in photo. Kind of an odd color for basketball shoes. And1 runs small in general so we always order 1 size up. This model is still very tight across the top of the foot. Had to loosen laces to the point that they are almost too short to tie. Overall though they are very good looking court shoes for under 50 bucks.

(FYI: When purchasing AND1s, the general rule of thumb is to order a size higher) Also in my case I consider these to be a "keep sake" item which I will have extremely limited use of to make them last. When I had the predecessor to the tai chi mids over a decade ago, I wore them for 7-8 yrs & they were like my feet were walking on stable clouds.

I've never bought shoes online but I gave it a shot since all my local sporting stores in my town have shut down. I had bought the black and gold ones prior to this and was happy with it so got this too. I didn't like the color as much as in person it has a miniscule green tint, the color u see when some gray material gets older and discolored. Nothing really noticeable but that's the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Planning to get the silver and black ones.

Great shoes but fit is smaller than usual. I originally ordered size 10.5 and 11, my normal range, but both were too small and I returned them for size 11.5 which was just right. So far they seem to be a a stable well constructed shoe but I'm not playing ball. Good arch/ankle support, they look sharp and you can't beat amazon's price.

I'm a big And1 Tai Chi fan, been for a long time. Great basketball shoes and very stylish. As far as price and value, it gets no better. Excellent to play in indoors or outdoors. Everyone seems to know that these run a little small on size so you may need to order a 1/2 size bigger, although I think the shoe width is good. Shipping and service was top notch, arrived super fast. Shoebacca is where it's at, keep up the great work.

good quality shoe but they run at least a half a size smaller if you're ordering in a US size this particular style is a fairly large price range I ordered empirical the same manufacturer just not high tops and they were running at least a full size too small

This is exactly what I expected. A cheap, but reasonable shoe. It is comfortable and fits great. Also, it has great looks. Since it didn't break the bank, I can also not worry about destroying them. Great product for the price.
