So this thing actually works and is able to cut even fairly thick-gauge sheet metal with ease. Assembly was pretty straightforward, though I ended up with several extra pieces that didn't seem to be listed in the instructions anywhere. My main complaint is that the end of the support bar that meets the handgrip of the drill needs a little more of a hook at the end so the retainer spring won't come loose. Also, the end of the bar that the spring attaches to tends to jab my hand when using the tool. Other than that, a really nifty addition to my toolbox.

The media could not be loaded. Right out of the box, it doesn’t work. And it’s not because of some small defect, but because it simply won’t work as designed.The ring gear is too tight and is grinding against the casting, carving its way through the pot metal, and it doesn’t mesh properly with the hypoid gear.The thrust bearing under the ring gear is completely dry with no grease at all, there’s just a drop of sewing machine oil on the outside of the assembly.The hypoid gear, also without grease, sits very loose in a sleeve bearing, so the whole thing is wobbling around when it’s on your drill.I’m going to add a washer behind the bearing for the ring gear and grease things up and bit and hopefully it will work, but I don’t expect it to last.
