After struggling with an temperamental Byron wireless system for a couple of years, (in spite of a signal booster and regularly changing the doorbell battery) I decided to try the Lloytron Mips system. I had just bought 3 chime units and a doorbell a couple of days before and was so PLEASED. Nice doorbell push, responsive chime units, even in the kitchen which is furthest from the front door. Some of the chimes are unusual melodies but the standard ding-dongs are ok. (Volume can be set on each unit). I decided to add a 4th chime unit, and a portable chime unit, which is battery powered and can be taken into the garden if needed and a 2nd door push for the back door. The evening after setting up these extras the chimes started to go off randomly. Concerned, I checked the Lloytron website and found that I should reset all the chime units by switching off, powering on each unit whilst pressing the chime button to clear the memory, and then set up as per the instructions. Perfect since. Recommended.

I had bought one of these previously for my mom as she had trailing wires across the house from her last bell. Nice neat design . Too many chimes as far as I am concerned however that being said there is nothing wrong with having a choice. I bought this one as I was sick of replacing two set of batteries in my last bell and when that one packed in I decided to buy a similar model for myself.Easy to set up and use. I have only had it a few days but no issues so far.

Within 4 months the bell push became faulty, meaning that the bell continuously rings when it's pressed. Picture shows back off bell push, when someone presses button hard enough it snaps the ‘spot welds’ on the black plastic square behind it, allowing the push button to stick on. Reading other reviews, this is a known fault. I have 2 of these at work, with no problems, but this one failed very quickly. I tried to return it and PDL are useless at corresponding. Finally got a returns info email, only for them to write 'we accept your return on the following condition. the item must in it's original condition along with original packaging. the item must not be assemble not used.' So you buy the item, but you're not supposed to use it? How the hell are you supposed to realise if it's gone wrong and request a return, if it's still in the box, being carefully looked after while not actually being in use? They also want you to return post it at your own expense, will only refund that if they agree with the fault being theirs and also subtract an admin fee. It's just not worth the money to send it back. Be forewarned if buying this and certainly don't get from PDL

Sent the first chime back (having to pay the return postage) as there was a gap between the front plastic face and surrounding silver frame of the external bell push. I was worried that rain etc would get in through the gap and the unit would no longer work. Was then sent a replacement with an even bigger gap!! with the seller not acknowledging an issue with either unit (hence postage not refunded). When I emailed to ask about the guarantee if the unit stopped working, I was told it would be for 3 months - never heard of a 3 month guarantee before, always thought products had at least a year. Also concerned that no paperwork was sent with the replacement and I had returned the original copy with the first chime - no mention made of this request in their email reply. After several emails with questions never fully answered, can't be bothered to write another but will not be using this seller again. It remains to be seen whether door bell continues to work as it has only be set up for a week or so and weather has been good!!The doorbell itself looks smart, seems to adhere well to the door frame with sticky pad supplied by manufacturer and has a variety of tunes all reasons for me choosing this door chime in the first place.

Excellent system that can expand over time. Daughter loves to change the melodies, leaving excitement with every ring of the bell... seriously, it’s a door bell that works, is easy to install and has multiple melodies for different seasons and holidays.

The bell is perfect, works amazingly well. But isn’t loud enough. Needs to be louder.
