Very strong drill.
Amazing drill for the price. Worked great at every possible angle.I had to do 18 back to back 11/16" holes through 5/8" steel and it didn't even blink.Handle with gloves. The bits are so sharp, one sliced through my hand just taking it out of the package.Amazon gets 1 star for delivering it though. It said next day, so I ordered it over the competitor's drill that is 1.5" shorter and they took a couple of extra days to deliver it.At 15.7" tall, it didn't fit in joist spaces, so I had to cut and patch joists that I wouldn't have needed to if it was a bit shorter.

New drill bore and tap
I sure do like my new drill. Best ever.

Not bad
The forward and reverse is switched but all in all the drill works fine. Super strong magnet and all around decent low end mag drill. The set screws loosen themselves over time so keep Allen’s handy and you will be fine. Runs annular bits pretty well

Does exactly what’s expected of it.
The media could not be loaded. Have about 3 hours of runtime on it all horizontally drilling 1/2” holes.Does it have play in the slides…. YesDoes the motor visibly spark around the brush contacts… yesIs there excessive backlash in the crank mechanism… also yes.But is it the best new mag drill I think you can get for a few hundred dollars…. Absolutely. In the end, it drills straight, the magnet holds it well and it does the job. Even with my hand sharpened drill bit I drilled all 30 holes through 1/4”-1/2” plates without ever sharpening the but and still throwing 6-8” long chips the whole time.I never would have been able to maintain positioning in that chamber and done that by hand, let alone the standard hand drill overheating when using them for that long.

Magnet isn’t strong enough to hold the drill
Used it on a steel door jamb and it held for 1 second and slid off, I grabbed it and hurt my back. Saved me from buying the customer a new floor, but…. It’s just a bad drill. It can’t even hold its own weight. Plus it didn’t come with the tube needed to lubricate the drill bit.

Several manufacturing quality issues.
One of the handles had bad threads which I was able to clean up by retapping. Fortunately I have a metric tap and die set. The adapter for using the drill chuck did not fit the drill. I was able to turn it down .010 thousands and get it to fit. There’s ways you could do this without a lathe, but in my opinion you shouldn’t even have to modify these parts. The magnet seems to be a little week, when I was drilling 3/16 cold rolled steel plate using a carbide 1/2 hole cutter I had to go slower than usual to keep the magnet attached. Overall, you get what you pay for, so if you have the knowledge and equipment to improve this machine, it will work for a home shop or hobby shop, but definitely not in a production environment.
