Mini Camera Hawkeye Firefly HD 1080P FPV Micro Action Camera Mini Hidden SPY Cam with DVR FOV160 Degree Built-in Mic for RC Drone

Pros:-Looks sturdy, nice and enclosed in a plastic case with glass covering the lens, looks like it could survive a crash pretty well compared to action cams with exposed lenses.-Cheap, too cheap for its own goodCons:-There isn't really an SD card "slot" so to speak; if you don't line the card up PERFECTLY you will simply push the SD card inside the camera body, there is also no spring and you need long finger nails to pull the card out.-Picture quality and FPS: I really have a hard time believing this is 1080 video, like another reviewer said it feels like upscaled 480. There also seems to be sluggishness and jitter with the FPS, it just doesn't look smooth when you replay it. The lens itself appears to be out of focus, and details on nearby plants etc are indistinguishable where as with my Runcam(rest in pieces) you could see every nuance of detailed surfaces; bare in mind the Runcam is also "1080p".Considering this camera is allegedly 1080, I purchased it to grab some stills for some website work (yeah I know, I should buy a nicer camera for that). None of the videos I shot earlier today produced any footage clear enough to pull any crisp images from.My opinion?Option1: Spend a bit more and get a Mobius or Runcam2Option2: Quit drones and RC as a hobby entirely, because there is so much cheap Chinese junk on the market, and you are sick of wasting your money on all of it.I included 2 images, one from the Firefly, and one from a Runcam 1st gen, take a guess which is which.

Camera works but about as good quality as the fpv camera I use. It is definitely not 1080 picture, might improve if the lense was more in focus though. The battery lasts about 15 minutes which is pretty pathetic considering it takes 8 to 12 hours to charge.I wish I spent a few extra bucks and got something of quality like a gopro

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  This camera is the absolute best mini action camera of this class. It by far, in my opinion, beats out anything in the SQ series. I use this on all of my micro drones/quadcopters / fpv racing and freestyle quads. All the way down to a 90mm. The anti-shake system works very well and you get clean steady HD. Yes, it's not 4k but it's $36 you cannot beat this deal period. I can't wait to see what Firefly does next for the RC hobby!!

Camera records to mem card as AVI and even if converted with professional conversion software on a Mac, still comes out with large pixel blocks. This is not true HD anything.Cheap spy cam, small and lightweight, and it works - Yes.

I love this camera, so small. It's half the size of my hero session and has comparable video quality. So far half the weight, size and price you can record on even smaller quads. Comes with it own 30 degree mount so you are ready to roll right out of the box. The pictures show a size comparison between a hero session in it's case that must be purchased separately btw and the Crazypony Firefly camera. As you can see I am able to mount it on significantly smaller quad and get high quality video. I would purchase again. In fact I might just need a couple more.

I had high hopes for this after watching YouTube reviews. However, its a complete waste of money. I start the recording and as soon as my plane starts moving it shuts down and doesn't save the files. Complete garbage.

Driver for win webcam does not work. When connector for charging 3 sec push will not change power status. No record when charging. Color balance is green. Image is noisy. Not set up for FPV. Audio not included in cable. Special type of USB connector make FPV connection to transmitter difficult, you must use and cut supplied cable. No replacement cable is available. A Nikon or Sony av camera cable may work.

My DJI Mavic Pro at 720p looks better then this camera at 1080p. This looks like 360P that has been scaled up.
