Great EDC Light!
This light has everything I was looking for:Micro USB rechargeableNeutral whiteGood pocket clipUseful modes, including "moonlight"Easy to find replacement batteryDurable constructionBright!I own many lights, including several other ThruNight products, and this is the best yet. Great size and easily fits your pocket with a nice clip, easy to use and intuitive method for changing modes. Memory function so it always comes on in the last used mode. Useful brightness spacing on the modes.Couple useful things to know:Comes shipped with the battery in the light, there is a round spacer between the spring in the tailcap and the battery that needs to be removed before use.To charge the light, plug in a micro USB cable (one is included) and click the tail switch on to start the charging process. As someone else mentioned, when you pug in a charging cable, the small light in the mode button cycles through red, yellow, and green until thebattery is fully charged where it stays solid green.Mine came with two replacement covers for the charging port along with spare O ring, nice wrist lanyard, and a belt holster. This is a great EDC light, and since it includes a high capacity 18650 battery (3400 MAH) the cost is very competitive. Get one, you won't regret it!

My new favorite EDC light
This is my second ThruNite. I bought the TC12 to replace the TN12 that I misplaced a few months ago.I love the fact that the TC12 is rechargeable without having to remove the battery, no more carrying around a spare dead battery. I'm not sure how long it takes to fully charge when the battery is dead because I usually charge it from time to time while I'm driving or working at my desk. It has a rubber flap that covers the charge port to keep out dirt and water. The rubber flap is part of a band that slips over the flashlight and can be easily replaced when the flap breaks off, which we all know will happen at some point. The light can tail stand and be used as a candle to light up the room. That is a well thought out design. Other flashlights I've owned fall over when you try to stand them on their end. It also remembers the last light setting you had so you don't have to cycle through to get to that setting every time you turn the light back on. The light gets warm to the touch at the 1100 lumens setting but not too hot that you can't handle it. Besides, I don't use that setting often or for an extended period when I do.At 5.5 inches, it fits perfectly into my front pocket. It has a removable pocket clip that grips well. The light is waterproof, sturdy, and well constructed. It's lightweight but feels strong and solid in hand. I've dropped it a few times already, and the light never flickers. The aluminum body can take a beating. As great as this light is, it's not entirely perfect. It's only like a 9.7 out of 10. There are a few things I would like to see changed.First of all, the side action button is HARD to feel out or find in the dark when you need to change brightness levels or activate the blinding strobe light. The side action button on my previous TN12 was raised and very easy to find. The TC12's button is smooth and flush with the frame and difficult to find without looking at the flashlight to locate the side button. This is not a good thing to be doing when walking a narrow trail or through unfamiliar terrain in the dark because you have to take your eyes off your path and look for the blue dot on the side action button.Another negative thing for me is that the blue dot doesn't appear in the lowest light setting, which is the setting I use most when navigating around the house at night. The light shows up at the higher settings but not the lowest. Again, this makes it difficult to change to a brighter setting when it's dark, and you need to see.I wish this had a USB C charge port. It's not a deal-breaker at all, but it would be one less cord I need to carry.Overall, I'm thrilled to have a ThruNite in my pocket again. I'm very satisfied with my purchase and will continue to buy ThruNite flashlights. I also purchased the ThruNite T1, which is another excellent flashlight when I got this light. I'll be reviewing that one soon.

Tough as Nails, Bright as Hell
I bought this a few weeks ago after carrying the original Thurnite TC12 (Version 1) for close to five years. I used it everywhere from backpacking trips on the Appalachian Trail to hard-use work in carpentry shops and every imaginable use and abuse in between - after years of daily carry, it started to work inconsistently with some batteries. I can't fault the light for this after what it's been through, it still works most of the time and I have kept it as a backup in the car. But I decided to buy the V2 of the same light to make sure I can rely on it 100% of the time for work and outdoor adventures. This new light is beautiful and throws a very solid beam for a great distance. The mode switch on the side of the light is more pronounced than the previous version, making it much easier to find and change settings in low light situations when you cannot see the button. The tail switch is very tactile and responsive.Although (as you can see) I do not have as much wear on the new one as the old version, I have no doubt in my mind about its build quality. I highly recommend this light to anyone looking for a flashlight that is robust enough for outdoor applications but slim enough for everyday carry. You will not regret buying this light, especially as winter is in full swing leaving us with more hours in the dark. Excellent job, Thrunite!

Been using this flashlight for 2 months in the Oilfield.
I've been using this flashlight for about 2 months.I work in the Oilfield and need a powerful flashlight for when I work on night shift. I needed something compact that packed a punch on brightness. This thing exceeded my expectations. It's so bright that I dont even use it at the highest setting. Battery last a long time and if it dies all I got to do it charge it via USB for 30min-1hr and I'm set for the entire night. Don't have to worry about changing batteries or carrying the charger. It has been through rain, oil 10ft drops and has held up very good. One of the best tools I have bought.

Unreliable and surprisingly not that bright.
I use a torch for work, so I thought it was worth investing a little more money when I needed to replace my cheap torch that I had had for the previous two years. This torch had good reviews here and on YouTube and had the features I wanted, so I went ahead with the purchase. On receiving the torch, I was a little disappointed to find it was less bright than my previous torch, which cost less that £10, but I thought at least it has other features that I wanted, such as USB charging and a separate mode and on/off switch. After only a few days of ownership, the torch kept going off just after switching on or just not switching on at all. It would come back on after cycling through the modes or giving it a quick shake or switching off and on again and I thought maybe it's because I'm using a different battery to the one that came with it. I know 18650 batteries vary in size slightly and thought maybe the battery I was using was slightly shorter and not making a good connection. Well it was slightly shorter, but even when I switched back to the battery that came with the torch, I experienced exactly the same issues. The torch hadn't been dropped or even knocked and had no obvious reason to be having what appeared to be a poor connection. I realise my experience with this torch is not the norm and I have probably been unfortunate to get a bad one, but I can only review based on what I received.

Great little EDC.
I spent lots of time reviewing different torches on YouTube, until I came across this one. I had a cheap 140 lumen torch, but due to my new job, I now have to walk back through the forest and along the coast path, and that one just didn't cut it, so I wanted something bright, that had a good throw, and also had a good flood. I was a little weary, as I have never spent that much on a torch before, but now I have it, I am so glad I did. It meets all my needs, bright, good throw, good flood, and run times for the different modes are great, plus its small size makes it very easy to carry. If you are looking for a new torch, or looking to upgrade, I would highly recommend this one.

This started off ok...
Great when it works, but difficult to get it to charge and the instructions are wrong. Sometimes it flickers and goes off when in use. It is undoubtably rugged, but it appears to have been let down by poor electronics inside. One of my kids was going on a School camp and although I initially thought I didn’t want to send her away with an expensive torch to lose, I soon realised I actually didn’t trust the torch not to let her down in the middle of the night. I ordered a cheaper torch for less than half the price, just as rugged, brighter, better features, so far more reliable (so far). Shop around, these (this model at least) is not worth the money. I’m not a Thrunite hater, I have their head torch which has been excellent and very reliable. I also have a tiny key ring sized thrunite, also excellent.

Great torch for the size.
Great torch for the size. Small and lightweight, yet packs a real punch. Battery life is excellent for the light output. Great to have 5 different brightness modes, great versatility. Feels sturdy and robust in your hand and perfect size for an EDC. Handy clip and wrist loop as well as belt pouch. Easy charging with the battery in the torch. Lost my first one - I had the previous model - and have repurchased the updated version as I wouldn't be without it. Highly recommended.

I ran it over with a tractor...
Oh wow! I bought this torch off off amazon in the summer, and being the summer, didn't use it much. As winter came in, this torch has been my absolute life, i use it every day. The battery life of this torch is amazing, and USB charging is also amazing!! I rarely have to charge it and mostly use it on high and turbo modes! On turbo, and sometimes on high, the head of the torch around the heat spreading rings get quite warm, but i have not found this to be a problem so far.Accidentally, I left it on the back of a tractor and drove away. The torch rolled off, unfortunately and got ran over several times. I thought that the torch was totally done for, but when i picked it up, it worked fine. I got it back in and washed it off, got the grit out of it, the mode changer works smoothly, as does the rest of the torch. The only part that is even slightly bent is the head, around the reflector. This unscrews, and still unscrews with only a few catches, as it is slightly squashed.I am so pleased with this torch, and also bought a ti4 a while back, which was also an outstanding little pen light.Unfortunately my torch did get a bit dented after being ran over, but its an awesome little torch, I love it!!!
