HTC 6990 VERIZON Oem NEW HTC Windows Phone 8X Shell Combo W/holster & Kickstand NON RETAIL PACKAGE

I like the phone, but it took 6 months to get a book from HTC. They told me to just go on line to read it. I didn't want to have to go to the computer and look up something on a 200 page book. Since this was a new phone one year ago, most of the people at the Verizon store didn't know anything about the phone and were useless helping me. Even after a year, most Verizon stores know very little about the phone. I do like the phone, although I just found out it will not do 'soft card' (an app which allows you to pay a bill by tapping the phone to a terminal.Good picture quality and easy to upload to email or facebook.

There's only one flaw with this case, and that is the primary case doesn't cover the top or the bottom of the phone. If you primarily use the holster this may not be a problem, and even if you don't use the holster it may still not be a problem, but figured I'd point out it's one flaw. I know it's a flaw because that's how I've broken my phone previously; while gorilla glass is very strong and scratch resistant, it is still glass and is prone to shattering if dropped in the right way. The rubber cases actually provide better protection in my opinion than the hard shells because of this: they absorb more of the impact.So, that's the one major flaw, but I don't think it needs to be a deal breaker, and I still love the case overall.The kickstand can be a little tough to pull out, particularly if you have weak fingernails, but if you work it one side at a time it pops out without too much difficulty. The kickstand itself has been great, and the primary reason I purchased this case (I actually didn't care about the holster). The kickstand works well in either portrait or landscape mode.The holster is a lot better than I thought, and is actually one of the best holster-designs I've ever used! it slides in and out smooth as butter, yet isn't so loose that it will fly out on it's own. The clip mechanism is easy to operate and has a spring; I've used holsters without a spring mechanism and they can be tough to actually clip onto a belt or pocket. The holster also protects the front of the phone completely, and is inlaid with a felt material.The case fits everything well, has holes in all the necessary locations, is a snap to install or remove, and (since I jog with my phone in my hand) reduces the likelihood of hitting the volume buttons accidentally without impeding your ability to push them when you want to.Overall, a great bargain for the $6 or so price most sellers are asking for! Certainly feels like a case you'd pay $30 at Verizon for!

Inner case is very tight and well made. Fits perfectly. All buttons work just as easily.Only change I would make would be some holes drilled into the back to let heat build up get out more easily!Outer case is very good and well made. Inner case and phone slide into it easily.Only change I would make and it is one they should make is that you can not plug in charger while in the outer case. If they made the opening a little bigger you could and it would drastically change its usability!

I bought this for my spouse. He likes it. The clip broke off the first one he owned - same model. The case is nice because it doesn't add a lot of bulk to the phone.

Got this for my new HTC Phone 8x and have had it on the phone since I got it. I really like the design of the case. The back cover leaves all of the buttons on the phone easily accessible and has a really cool design on it. I didn't think I would really use the belt clip, but I have been using it every day. It works well also. The reason I actually bought it was for the kickstand, which works both in landscape and portrait mode. It wil only work in portrait when you are not charging it though, because of the location of the micro usb port on the phone. The case seems well made and seems like it will add some protection to the phone. It does have a very small lip on the front edge that will help keep the screen from laying right on the surface of a table. I would definetly give this a buy recommendation if you are looking for a kickstand feature in your phone case.

I wasn't sure I'd like this case at all to be honest, but really wanted a kickstand so I hesitantly purchased it. It grew on me. I regret not getting this sooner! Not only is it useful for watching videos, but it's SO useful for propping up to Read (or all the time, really) without having to hold the phone! LOL, who knew something so simple could make a world of difference. I used to toss my phone around before (and broke it) but now I hardly ever lay it down, which protects it even more. Seriously, if you're debating this case as I was, stop and give it a try.Update: I forgot to note that this case is the EXACT case sold at Verizon for about $25. I made the mistake of purchasing this same case for my Lumia Icon from Verizon, thinking it'd be similar but of higher quality. It isn't.

This phone case is really cool.The only thing that stinks about it is it doesnt fit my HTC phone at all it made me so so sad . Oh well

My first Android smart phone was the HTC Thunderbolt it was Verizons first 4G phone and it was great for its time. The kickstand was one of its best features (despite the fact that the designers put the kickstand in a position that while using it in landscape you blocked the charging port and with Thunderbolts battery life it was a major slip up) allowing for comfortable media viewing either through DLNA or with the Slingbox app. I believe that with smart phones becoming such highly used media devices that to exclude the kick stand is a major mistake for any phone manufacturer but thankfully there are quality made cases like this one available at such affordable prices. This case has a small price tag but big value I would definitely recommend this product to any one using the HTC 8X in a second.
