Works well with BALDR stations
This makes a good replacement or an addition to a BALDR base station setup. If the base station handles 3 channels, this one can be set to a different channel than your first and placed in a different area. With the original base station, I thought I had a defective sensor and needed a replacement, but it turned out a neighbor somewhere was using the same channel 1 on a device that they had. I was able to figure this out when the first began working when I switched channels but continued to receive a reading on channel 1.I now have 1 on the NE corner of the house (channel 2) under an overhang and the second in the attic (channel 3). During the winter, the attic one was in the garage. I can't get a 3rd because of someone else using channel 1 somewhere nearby.5 stars

Couldn't get it to work at first, but solid once it did.
Wanted a second sensor for my baldr base unit. It didn't connect automatically and I considered returning it.THEN after asking for help from Amazon users...I put batteries into the sensor and picked a channel that wasn't being used by the original sensor. Then I pulled a battery from the base unit and then reinserted the battery to power it back on. It took a minute, but the base unit found the sensor and now it works great.

No instructions
I know this should work because I bought the main hub and one sensor. I wanted the 2nd sensor to put in a different area outside and didn’t keep the original instructions. The packaging came with NO INSTRUCTIONS. I don’t remember how to connect this. If anyone has the instructions to connect it please let me know.

Also works with my Sharp clock!
I have been very pleased with this remove sensor. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it also works with my Sharp SPC1107A atomic wall clock! Found out the hard way that it it is in direct sun, that can affect the reading (I thought I had it in a shaded area, but when the reading didn't match saw it received the setting sun directly and that artificially bumped up the reading quite a bit). The fact that it uses 2 AA batteries is also nice. A little too narrow to stand independently on a shelf, so I hung it using a string.I would definitely buy again!
