The Sanford Guide to Antimicrobial Therapy 2018 Paperback – April 1, 2018

The Sanford Guide has been the go-to guide for empiric therapy for longer than I've been in medicine (about 37 years now). Unfortunately, the "pocket version" has grown to be so ambitious that it is virtually unreadable due to the agate type set in a light sans serif font which just compounds the unreadability. Unless the editors decide to reduce the scope of the pocket edition from "infections disease text book" to "guide to initial empiric antimicrobial therapy" the pocket edition is virtually useless.If you want a print edition, I'd advise going with a larger version with more readable type. Or perhaps seeing if the electronic versions meet your needs better.

This product has been used by my physician wife for years. However, this years version is very faint (print quality faint) and the print font is so small, it is nearly impossible to read. The print should have been bolder, larger, and more pages added to allow for all the information contained. She will probably have to download the APP. I can't believe the editors did NOT notice the poor quality of print, and realize the font was way too small!

Just ordered this, and compared it side-by-side with my 2017. Information-wise, this is the industry standard, and is 5-star all around. The physical product I received this time, however, is not up to usual par. I've always ordered this from Amazon, but may have to be a sucker next time and pay markup from the publisher, directly.I'm missing the sticker. It was NOT shrink-wrapped, however.Print quality poor: fuzzy, blurry, indistinct. Cover is misaligned, as others have said. Paper feels "cheaper" when compared side-by-side with 2017.Disappointed. Probably not Sanford Guide's fault, but it reflects poorly on them. As a practicing ID physician, it's a bummer for anything to besmirch their reputation.

I have used Sanford Guide for many years. As a quick reference print size was never too much of an issue. Unfortunately, this most recent edition (although more robust in contents) has extremely small and light print; very difficult to read. I had to buy magnifying glass (no joke) to read.You really should consider getting next size up. I now wish I had.

I had to purchase this guide for my NP Acute Care Pharmacology course. There appears to be a great wealth of knowledge in this book. Sadly, the font is too darn small. My eye sight is perfect and I find it very difficult to read. Because of the font size, this will not be my go to reference outside of class.I included a photo of a page in the book and a normal size postage stamp for font size reference.

This book probably has great information. Unfortunately the print quality is poor and type so small that I can't read it.

I bought this to store in my lab coat pocket as a quick reference, and its been amazing. I haven't noticed any issues with the printing in my version. Everything is easy enough to read with the small print needed to fit all the information in the small size. I would definitely buy again!

Comprado de oferta por 3.5€, un libro fundamental y de ayuda para cualquier medico, en un formato más que asequible y muy facil de llevar. Las letras se entienden bien.

Leggendo alcuni commenti sulla ridottissima dimensione dei caratteri credevo fosse il formato portatile, invece è A4. Ottima guida, facile consultazione, inglese molto semplice.

Although Sanford Guide to Antimicrobial is very standard publication ,the drawback is that the print is small almost unreadable to mid aged person. So very difficult to concentrate. Please improve the print and size .Or Introduce bigger size and print book with clear title.
