Brilliant little gadget
Delivered promptly. Great price. This is a brilliant little gadget. I wanted a mini chopper that didn’t take up to much space in my kitchen and I came across this one. It’s exactly as described. It’s lovely looking and most importantly it does its job. I think it’s wicked. It’s easy to use and clean. I have some 3 tier saucepans which are the Tower range & they are brilliant and this little mini chopper is yet again a fantastic Tower product. Tower makes stuff with very good quality and I very much highly recommend this.

Broke On First Use
I tried to chop some frozen fruit for a smoothie and the motor whirred but the blade wouldn't turn. Wouldn't recommend. This is my second time with a broken mini-chopper. Last time I had the same problem with a Kenwood but at least it worked for a while first. I think I'll buy something bigger next time as these devices are only strong enough for chopping soft things like leaves.

Better than my old one
In my kitchen this replaces the Kenwood version of the same thing that I bought when a certain TV chef promoted it heavily a few years ago. I liked the Kenwood, but mine broke because the method of locking the bowl onto the base was poorly thought out. This Tower mini chopper is so close in concept to my old one that it almost makes no difference. But there are three differences: the lid locks on quite easily for one, the first thing I checked. This makes it much more pleasant to use. The blade's different too because it's on two levels. This seems better when you chop onion, for instance, though without a direct comparison with my old one, I wouldn't like to say for sure. It ought to make some difference and is a good idea. It does a good job in any case. The third difference is the very small hole in the lid you can pour liquid through while blending, to make things like mayonnaise. This could be useful, but the hole is so small you'll have to be really careful not to make a mess or use a funnel.Otherwise it's exactly what you'd expect. The only button is the 'pulse' button on top. You have to hold it down to operate the blades. And the instructions warn heavily that you can only operate it for a few seconds at a time, which is what you naturally will do anyway. The base has very good non-slip rubber feet. It doesn't seem to be dishwasher safe.Overall, a useful gadget that's better than my old, broken, Kenwood mini chopper.
