Would these work for irrigation poly pipe barb fittings?

Not Really. It only works with Pex b pipe.

Whats the inner diameter before crimping?

About 15/16" or 22mm. It is not perfectly round until it is crimped. The work great though.

What kind packaging does this come in? Is it a loose bag or closable container?

They come in a plastic bag. I put the remainder in clear plastic bottle if any are left. Then into the PEX plumbing bin. 3/4 also comes in bag.
