I have been converted away from total Blues and Jazz by Ana
I have been listening to Ana's music on Amazon for several years.Watching all of the great reviews she has received but just am not normally a pop music loving kinda guy,Finally I decided to quit being stubborn and take a chance......Her voice grabbed me from the start, She has a dialect and a way of presenting herself that makes me wish I could see her live.I love to see confidence and pride in a singer,\Wow she has it.She carries herself in her music with such pride and confidence that she blew me away when I got the first CD I ordered from her.You got me Ana......You are Excellent.............keep it coming

ŽIVELI DRAGA
I bought this album because I was simply curious, also being of Serbian decent, like Ana.While I am NOT a "Blues" fan, occasionally I enjoy a good song and performance."Hush" is a fine "introductory" album.Mainly I enjoy the song she wrote called "Hometown", about her birthplace of Belgrade, the capital of former Yugoslavia. I ADORE the city and have lived there. So it touches a place in me and I also think it is the best song on the album...full of energy, and especially so, by the tremendous talents and energy of the drummer, on the track.I am a huge Tom Waits fan. Her cover of "Downtown" (a classic), is fine, but no way comes close to a Waits performance.I have followed "POPOVICH" (correct pronunciation) for years. She currently lives and performs much in California, I believe, with her husband and children. As of this date (2024) she is touring, mostly in smaller venues in Europe and California.Supposedly, she likes being close to her children. Now, approaching a much more mature age (late 40's), she has "evolved".She may not be the GREATEST songwriter or singer, but she is an outstanding performer and guitarist, especially on "slide" style.I really suggest her to all listeners of good Blues and even a bit of Funk and Rock. There are so few women out there that excel in all these genres.ŽIVELI DRAGA !

This is an absolutely fabulous album by a very talented and beautiful young lady.Do yourself a favor and click on the "Add To Cart" button right now. You will not regret it.While you're at it, buy her most recent album as well. It is also a very fine album. Why she is not an international star, I don't get it.She will be. Mark my words.

Another great album by Ana. Most of you Ana fans know she's studied jazz and you'll always find a little jazz influence in her blues. There are few female guitar players who are better and not that many male guitar players either. This woman has talent! Hope I can go see her the next time she tours the US.

Destined for greatness!
This cd is great! This is her most bluesy cd and like another reviewer saidthe production isn't as polished as the later ones giving this cd a jam session vibe. Wonderful playing and awesome writting skills. I will look forward to her next cd,hopfully another dvd. I love Ya Ana!
