Capture Life's Moments with Flair! 📷
The Polaroid Optics 3 Piece Filter Kit Set includes UV, CPL, and FLD filters designed for 46mm lenses. These pro-grade multi-coated filters enhance image quality by reducing UV rays, controlling color saturation, and eliminating unwanted tints, all while protecting your lens. The kit comes with a durable, water-resistant nylon carry pouch for easy transport.

OK on manual lenses but
on AF had problems with the CPL affecting autofocus (OK with manual focus) badly, unlike a CPL of the same size from a well known brand. The UV filter seems to work with MF and AF giving a very small increase in contrast and a very little reduction in sharpness (only noticeable with aperture open and full 1920 x 1080 pixels) - no more than a well known filter brand. I now prefer to buy UV from this manufacturer with a plastic jewel case and CPL filters separately with a plastic jewel case, from a well known brand

Caution - the CPL in this set is Useless. No matter how it is rotated, skies do not darken as they should with any working one!
Caution: the CPL in this set does nothing whatsoever - no matter how it is rotated. I'm not the only reviewer to say this either. Also, I've owned several working CPLs before this Polaroid one. In other words, if you're looking for a polariser which works - the one in this set is next to useless.UPDATE: If you need a CPL you really should consider buying this one instead, as I now know it to work just as a good CPL should:Hoya 46 mm Slim PL-CIR FilterI will test others for my wife's 46mm lens, and edit this review when I've discovered one which simply works well, as a polariser (and any that I've owned previously!) should. For anyone who isn't aware, a true CPL filter should, when rotated, clearly darken skies and very noticeably bring out deep blues in the sea, skies etc. All that I've used previously did just that. Meanwhile...Beware!

Bargain
When I bought my Sigma 50-500mm I was astonished at the size of the filter required to meet the len's huge focal length. The Polaroid 866 Filter collection is amazing value for money - there are 86mm UV filters alone that sell for several multiples of the price of this collection. I bought it primarily for the UV filter to protect my lens (as in my experience Sigma lens caps have a habit of falling off. Viewing the glass of the filter in my Kit it appears faultless and when I look at the images with and without the filter it doesn't appear to have had any adverse affects. This being a kit you don't just get the UV filter there is a lovely filter case; a extremely useful Circular Polarising filter (great for use on or near water) and a fluorescent lamp filter. This last one I am unlikely to get the use of; but at this price I am not concerned about getting something I am not interested in using. Its amazing value compared to its competitors- if you are getting a bigma at this price its definitely worth adding to your basket.

Good set of filters with handy case
The filters are of a good quality, not the best but you get what you pay for. Have been using the UV filter on my camera for over a year now with occasional venture into the CPL territory and can't fault them really. The only downside is that the CPL makes my photos a little bit softer but this is only noticeable when looked at on a big computer screen, prints are very clear and lovely colour without having to spend hours adjusting them.Just ordered a second set for a friend but it came with a defect in the CPL filter so will have to have it replaced. The process is smooth as usual with Amazon so no problems here either.

Weighing up the cost of functions and quality.
For the money you've got to rate these. The uv is essentially just lens protection which it does well it does also cut back on heat haze as its designed to do. The cpl filter works too, it's subtle in its effect which is quite nice. I've not used the floresant filter yet but I'm confident it work as well as the others. Like I said, for the money these are a good buy. There are better, but to see if you need these type of filters these are a good choice to start with.

Good Value
In terms of quality this cannot be measured against more expensive filters.Using these on a average to good telephoto lens will yield results, but not top quality results. However, as a good standby set that works well in most conditions, where clarity is not 100% important, I'd say go for it.At this price you'd be hard pressed to get as good a Polarising Filter, let alone a good FLD filter. The Polariser works well enough for most shots. The FLD is quite good too.The UV is a little too thick and fuzzy for my liking; but do check out the "Polaroid Ultra thin UV with Schott glass" on Amazon; keep this standard one as a spare to protect lens in emergency.

Useful, but don't get your hopes too high
Only one of those filters is truly useful, namely the polarizing one, but it ain't too strong at that. It limits the reflected light all right but it's nowhere as effective as, say glasses with polarizing filters. The UV filter makes any difference only when you are using a film in your camera. With digital cameras it has no use other than physically protecting your lenses. As for the FLD filter it does nothing to "Reduce The Greenish Tone When Shooting Under Fluorescent Lighting". Just turns everything violet / pinkish. The only use I've found for it is evening sky shots, where it can add a nice hue to it, changing the atmosphere of the photo. So, as I've said, it all boils down to the CPL filter but given the price it is still not a bad deal.

Works with STM lens AF
Can confirm that this CPL does not break auto focus on the canon STM lens. It does work, gets rid of reflections and makes sky look bluer when used correctly. But with all the three lenses there is definite flaring/IQ problems especially when a hood is not used. However, sometimes this might make pictures look more artistic.Quality isn't the best, not sure if its actually glass or perspex. Lenses came tucked in a wallet with four pouches. I would have thought each lens would come in plastic container with a screw on lid, but they were in plastic bags with holes in. The wallet isn't well thought out as it will not prevent the lenses getting covered in dust.

Clean, screws on smooth, solid, nice case
I mainly bought these to protect my Fuji lens. I have yet to try out how they change my photos. I can say that they are light and solid. The glass part feels somewhat between glass and plastic. The ring part is very light. Almost like aluminium. It screwed on smoothly and nicely. Will test out and see.Update:Sad to say that these filters don’t seem to have a basic anti-reflection coating. You can see ehat happens in the last two images. First image is without filter, second is with filter. I just bought these to try them out while having some basic extra protection for my lens. Now I’m not so sure.

I bought this for the UV just for protection because ...
I bought this for the UV just for protection because the buying just the UV is basically the same price. However the UV doesn't really have any coatings and thus introduces a bit of glare compared to shooting without a filter. The UV is also a bit yellow. It is actually a noticeable amount of discolouration. Just taking the cover off and examining it with my eyes against my monitor turns this white Amazon page a bit yellow. This is simply something that doesn't happen to a Hoya filter I bought. So if you are trying to save some money, maybe save elsewhere and just buy a decent filter.

UV Filter and CPL work fine
First for the UV Filter:I've had this on the end of my Panasonic Leica 25mm f/1.4 lens for a few weeks. This lens is normally a stellar performer and I've noticed absolutely no loss of image quality. I can produce glare more easily with the filter on, but I usually have to try. If you're shooting into bright light a lot, you probably want to remove this filter for best results. Maybe there are some UV filters out there that don't glare so badly?Of course, I should point out that with digital cameras, there is absolutely no need for a UV filter, and you can expect no improvement in image quality whatsoever from this filter. (Back in the film days it was a different story.) Never the less, they are still useful for protecting the front element and this one seems to do very well at providing that layer of protection.Build quality seems fine. On close inspection the filter has no nicks or visible imperfections. It was a little dusty upon arrival; a puff of compressed air did the trick.CPLI haven't used the CPL as much, although it seems fine. In bright sunlight, it allows me to open up the lens a little more and removes glare from some objects. It doesn't appear to soften the image noticibly.FLDThis filter is useless. If we were still using film...but we can all white balance in-camera now so this filter serves no purpose.

Ottimi filtri

Inexpensive, best cost compromise to get UV and polarizer after mortgaging my life for a high end Nikon lens.
This item had a good price for a UV and a polarizer to get me started with my new high end Nikon lens. Both UV and polarizer are made of glass and perform as expected. The FLV for fluorescent lighting is made of plastic and will end up in the garbage, especially with a digital camera. The kit was less expensive than buying UV and polarizer separately. I will eventually upgrade to a better polarizer as I do notice a better image on a smaller better quelity B+W that I possess for another lens.

Great Value!!!
I actually have several of these filter sets and found that they are pretty awesome for the price. I have these in 52, 62 and 77 mm. I really haven't noticed any quality degradation by using less expensive filters so far, but I also haven't done a lot of comparison stuff either :-) I do have a Hoya UV filter in 52mm and didn't see any noticeable differences. There might be when using primes or sharper lenses than zooms, but these work great for what I'm doing. The polarizer seems to work well though I haven't compared to other brands.

Canon EF 24-70 mm
