You bought it for the app, didn't you?
Now this is a NICE head torch!First off the standard stuff: it's light, comfortable to wear for extended periods and the controls are easy to find (as long as you remember which one does what - not too hard actually there are only two main buttons). In use the reactive light just helps out with +1ev on whatever you are holding or doing when you are working in a normal-to-dim environment and once you go somewhere dark it seamlessly ramps up the power to improve your view. Flawless , even without the app.But ah, at APP! Admit it, you bought it for the app. Good plan - it's a decent torch and the app is nice, but I'd quite like to be able to set the torch mode from the app, which you can't. It really just reflects what the torch is doing [Edit: the App now has LIVE view which lets you override the lamp power if you are in constant mode, and it also allows you to load different power profiles which change the way the lamp reacts to different light levels - that gives you all the control you should need I think, plus the useful battery level / burn time gauge]. The run time estimates and bettery level are very handy though, especially if the torch has been in it's pouch (not supplied) for a while. The one thing you can set is the morse code flash sequence and that's limited to 20 characters sadly. But I did have a good idea - the head torch has a light sensor, right? How would it be if it could detect and read Morse to you? It would need to notice and record say three characters minimum but then it could just spot a sequence and decode it - and how cool would that be? As it stands the Morse feature is really not for casual users :)

Great headlamp
I always wanted to invest in a more expensive headlamp with the features that Reactik+ has and so far I am very happy. I use it occasionally to walk at night in very dark wood areas and the Reactive lightning is amazing, works so well to a point that sometimes you don't even notice that is active, because your eyes doesn't need to adjust to the brightness, the headlamp does this job. I cant say about durability and battery life just yet but the plastic quality and the lithium battery seems to be very good. In its full intensity of 300 lumens it can lit up a great area of your path ahead. Another feature that I like is the fact that you can use a powerbank to recharge the battery, so if you go out camping you don't need to carryall that extra stuff to recharge the battery. Very compact and lightweight.

Brilliant little lightweight headlamp with some impressive technology!
Amazing little headlamp, the reactive and constant technology is brilliant! Adapts the beam and intensity super fast! The app is good, perfect for seeing how much battery life is remaining and the custom profiles are pretty nice too, but if you’re unsure about purchasing due to the price, just buy the non + which would save you about £20 as I tend to forget about the app often! Well worth the money either way!Read a one star review about how it took this man 20 minutes to turn on, what a buffoon! Ignore this cynical old daily mail reader!

Fantastic headtorch, light sensor is great, but expensive and bluetooth pointless
I love headtorches and have about 10 of them, so hankered after this as the 'flagship' petzl model. In use it is fantastic, the light sensor works superbly, and the max 300lumens brightness and beam spread from two leds is fantastic.Charging and battery life are excellent.Bluetooth to me just seems pretty pointless, I couldn't get this to work properly with android app, and borrowed my wife's iPhone which works correctly, but other than changing the brightness steps/levels, which I could live without, this doesn't seem to have any actual usefulness, and leaving bluetooth active drains battery on both the headtorch and your phone. Sending morse code messages is a quirky novelty but again i cannot see any use for this.I considered the Reactik non plus which has the light sensor/rechargable features but no bluetooth but the lower brightness put me off, but I suspect this would be a more sensible choice - I just didn't want to feel I should have got the better one later ;)

Superb headlight for mountaineering .
Very comfortable to wear and have used it for camping and mountaineering. Very bright and quickly recharge. Also have a replacement battery in case. Life of battery is at least 3 hours on medium mode. Adjusts brightness in some modes as it has a sensor. Have used in the Alps and was very competent. Light enough to wear when running as well. Can adjust the run time and brightness on phone app as is bluetooth compatible. Highly recommend.

Motorist destroying capability
Excellent for late night runs. Especially good that it’s so bright, you can hit motorist back with epic amounts of light if they decide that you need full beam action. That was the best bit about this! In all seriousness it has excellent battery life, connects to an app on my phone via Bluetooth for battery life, and reacts to the light around you. Comfort was good. Very good product highly recommended.

Bright for the size
Fantastic head torch and the red light is useful. Like having the option of auto adjust and being able to override it. Bluetooth is a bit of a gimmick but it does tell you how long the battery will last fairly accurately. Battery life could be extended as camping without a power supply could be tricky if you use it a lot. Although you can get spare battery packs, they are fiddly to interchange in the dark and quite pricey. It is quite a unit weight wise but easily the best head torch I’ve had
