If you do vinyl siding even once it's worth it.
" Trim " like j-channel, inside/outside corners, are the most frustrating aspect of any vinyl siding job. Your are battling the existing lines of the structure that are rarely straight. 100+yrs old or brand new and you'll still find that corners wander so blindly snapping lines or even clamping a level or straight edge results in a straight corner but compared to the rest of the house it looks crooked. Or maybe you run your new corner perfectly parrallel to a window or door but find that it results in the other side looking flared out.This tool will not fix all of that magically. What it DOES DO is give you a point of reference that speeds the process up. I bought only one to try and found it intuitive to use, light in my pouch (a little too light as it falls easily) and capable of pulling a few feet of the corner around where you clamp it into a semi-solid 90 degrees. No more guessing at how it looks on the opposite side. Do you still have to check- yes. But I did 7 outside corners ( approximately 8' in length) in a quarter of my usual time.I'm giving it 4 stars because it maxes out at 4"I'd prefer a design that goes up to the bigger 6" corners. Also selling them as a single unit is an odd choice. I'll be adding a second to my arsenal for my next siding job but they should come as a set. The cost is a little high for what the tool is (feels like a cheap toy) but the time it saves is worth it.

Life saving tool!
I used the tool while applying vinyl corners and that was much easier, accurate and faster. Great tool! Highly recommended
