I've tried tons of makeup removers and cleansing balms (including the other BANILA CO variants) but I always come back to this one! A little goes a looong way and the silky texture makes it pleasant to use. There's a slight fragrance to it (probably the tea tree) but I'd say it's hardly noticeable. This stuff removes my ULTRA-stubborn waterproof makeup like magic with zero burning if it gets in your eyes. It washes off nicely after emulsifying and doesn't leave a film or residue on your face. Just soft, clean, clear skin. I'm SUPER acne prone as well as sensitive- this stuff has never clogged my pores and doesn't dry out nor irritate my barrier. Even if my skin is angry, I've never experienced any stinging and it definitely helps reduce the intensity of breakouts. I used to use micellar water to remove my makeup before cleansing... you'll never need a makeup remover again. It really is THAT good!!! No complaints!

I love that this doesn't have a lot of waste like wipes do. It melts away your makeup easily and doesn't irritate my eyes or skin. Very light scent, barely noticeable which is good for something like this. Removes even tough mascara pretty easily!

Does awesome job in removing makeup with light balm. Lasts a long while because only a small amount needed to get your face clean.

Banila Co was known for their cleansing balm since it came out in 2006 and they're still staples on the market. Although there is much more competition, they still remain a popular choice and I can see why! I've used a lot of the popular newer brands of cleansing oils but I have very clog-prone and sensitive skin so I'm pretty picky with my skincare and haven't found many first cleanse products that are suitable with my skin type. I saw that Banila Co. has come out with many versions of their original cleansing balm so I was curious to try them. I haven't used Banila Co. since the 2010s. I bought their tea-tree pore cleansing edition and was very impressed. Usually korean cleansing oils are more heavily fragranced but this does not have a scent. It's buttery smooth and easy to spread. It cleanses off all my makeup but I have to say I do still use the heroine make mascara cleansing brush as this doesn't take off all my mascara but most oil cleansers I've used don't always get all of it. After it washes off your skin will feel like a baby's bottom. I was surprised, my skin didn't feel the least bit heavy nor stripped. Even though this is the pore cleansing edition my skin was still left very soft and supple. I would say even if you have sensitive skin, your skin won't be irritated and your pores will be left clean! The blackheads on my nose have gotten slightly smaller and makeup layers much better. I was able to purchase this one on sale and would probably wait for it to be on sale again to purchase. I've noticed korean cleanser tend to be much more expensive than japanese ones but when the cleansing balm is on sale, I'd say there's decent competition there. In terms of korean skincare I would say this one is currently my favorite cleansing oil.

I’ve used the original version in the pink tub for years, but I wanted to try something new and got this one since I have oily skin. It’s not bad, I used it all up without any issues, but I can’t say noticed anything different about it besides the scent. In the future I’ll buy the pink version because it comes in a bigger size for a better value. Every cleansing balm I’ve tried from the company is great—they clean throughly and don’t break me out even though the majority of oils do, and they rinse cleanly enough that you can get away without doing a second cleanse. But yeah, I’ll stick to buying the best value one from now on.

Arrived on time, packaged perfectly. Clean scent, light weight texture. Wipes off easily with warm water on a washcloth. Skin is refreshed. I always apply a moisturizer afterwards.

Amazing product! Was fighting a constant battle of folliculitis and since and nothing was working to get rid of it, not even the prescription stuff. I've used this and haven't had a break out in 4 months! My skin feels softer and it doesn't leave me dryed out. On my 2nd jar and will continue to buy it!

Great first impression — excited to start using it! I hesitated before buying this balm, but since I wear SPF daily, I needed something effective for proper cleansing. I also want to address blackheads and keep my pores clean, so I decided to try this product as the first step in a two-step cleansing routine. I plan to use this balm first, followed by a gentle foaming cleanser as the second step. Pros so far (before using the balm): • Perfect size for travel: The jar contains 100 ml, which makes it approved for carry-on luggage — a big advantage for me. • Long shelf life: Mine arrived with almost two years before expiration, so there’s plenty of time to use it. • Excellent packaging quality: • The box was securely sealed and beautifully designed. • Inside, everything feels premium — the protective inner lid, the hygienic spatula, and the sturdy jar. • I love that the spatula allows you to scoop the balm without touching it — very hygienic and thoughtful. • Protective seal: The jar also has a strong foil seal, which shows great attention to freshness and product safety. I haven’t tried the balm on my skin yet, but based on the packaging and overall presentation, I’m truly impressed. If the formula works as expected, especially for removing SPF and helping with blackheads, this may become one of my new favorite skincare products.
