Radiator Valve Caps - Universal 20 Pc/S

Did not fit straight on, had to drill washers hole wider

These radiator caps are not totally universal but looked identical to some I had previously bought from screwfix so thought they’d do. However, the ones from Screwfix have a softer grommet inside the cap which makes it more flexible for different size radiators. These from Amazon have a hard plastic grommet which means they are NOT suitable for every radiator without some work. I contacted the seller to ask for a refund which was immediately agreed. I was desperate for the caps as the painter had removed the old caps and inadvertently thrown them out so thought I’d try and salvage some of these and then write the rest off. I started by using a Stanley knife to cut away from the inner hole, then I stretched them over a large screwdriver. This took AGES and was very hardwork. On some of the caps i didn’t use the Stanley knife method but just poured hot boiling water over them and then immediately removed them from the water and pushed them onto the radiator. The hot water made them softer and if used straight away you can push them onto the radiator pipe while they are more flexible. This meant they were suitable for more radiators. I didn’t return them as I was able to use the quantity I needed. I can’t fault the seller or communication so have given 3 stars instead of the 1 star I wanted to give the product. With some work they can be made to fit.

These are just what we needed, they fit over the seal cap end of the rad and look nice. We bought them to replace the old one's as people keep messing with the rads. These caps also cover the potentially dangerous uncapped ends, where people have broken or removed the old cap shield.These caps have allowed us to balance the whole heating system, knowing once installed people will not be able to adjust the rads from that end and mess up the flow/balance of the central heating system.

These caps were just what I neededto dress the fixed valves on radiators. They were easy to push on and altogether satisfactory.They are recommended.

A very good snug fit. A good deal! Has seals on the inside. Does require some pushing on to get to fit into place though

Hmmm they are sold as universal! Obviously myrads are not universal! They only have a thin insert that is not capable of turning metal screw on the rad!

These are excellent value for money and good quality and lovely and white. Have replaced old discoloured ones and very impressed with these. Would definitely recommend.
