Solid and fast-heating--great as an extra burner.
Heats water to boiling very quickly--and operates at a fairly quiet level. Controls are straightforward and responsive. I like the "boil water" button which automatically sets the burner to high for a specific length of time (usually more than I need) but it's easy to turn off. This cooktop was actually a bit cheaper than the previous one I had but seems to work even better. It's easy to clean and instructions are clear.

Perfect fit and functionality for our studio!
We’re currently living in a small ADU on family property during a temporary work assignment. The unit has a little kitchen with a cube refrigerator and small microwave. With little counter space, the portable induction cooktop fits perfectly and meets our needs for making home cooked meals for two. It’s quiet and sleek. It accommodates our 10-in pan and heats up and cools down quickly for easy wipe-down and surface cleaning. We’ve cooked using various heat levels and successfully grilled meat, boiled pasta, simmered sauces, fried eggs… nothing is off limits.

As good as cooking with a gas burner.
This thing works great. Induction heat is as close to cooking with gas as it gets. Very fast response to changes in temperature setting. It’s easy to clean as long as you don’t allow food to be burned on. The size is also good. Fits on my countertop nicely. I store it when not needed.

Good, not great, but we will keep it
This OMEO cooktop looks and feels well built and at 1800-Watts it performs fine. When using the "Temperature" option it holds the set temper perfectly within 1-degree-F. This is our first foray with induction heating and we love the concept. But, I now know there are critical questions to be asked before a purchase. Most importantly for us, what are the "steps" for temperature settings? This cooktop has has very large steps for each temperature setting. There only 10-steps and I thought that would be OK as we wanted this for slow cooking. But the "steps" are huge as it goes from 160-F to 240-F in a single step so a Simmer is really not possible. The next issue is whether it saves the last settings for next time. Since we will be only using it for slow cooking, having to set the temperature each time is a bit of a pain. Finally, it needs a "Start/Stop" button. This one starts as soon as you press the "Menu" button and you cannot preset the temperature or Watts before pressing "Menu." It always starts up at 1200-Watts and you have to race to get it back to where you want it. I think a "Start" button is mandatory and "Pause" button would be good. If you want to lift the pan and shake stuff it very quickly goes to an error code, "no pan" and if you take too long to get it back on the top, it shuts off. I like the way the it heats up water really fast so instead of returning it, I will move it to the garage for making tea etc. I have ordered a Nuwave cooktop with 51-steps in 10-F increments in temperature. And, it appears to have a Program mode allowing me to define and save multiple steps like 5-minutes at maximum to boil, then 40-minutes at 210 to Simmer. It is only 1500-Watts compared to OMEO 1800 Watts and it costs more, but for the extra bucks, it will provide the functions we need. Other than the above personal preference issues, the OMEO is a good cooktop.

OMEO Portable Induction Cooktop Hot Plate
This cooktop is very helpful for a person who lives alone and does not want to use a big stove to cook. The heat levels are very easy to control. The size of this product is not too big or too small and fits perfectly on my counter top. I use it daily with no problems, its easy to clean and easy to store. It has proven to be durable.

Best buy ever
This Cook top is awesome! It took me a bit to find the correct type of pots & pans to work on it but once I did...WOW! I have never seen water boil so fast. Once you are done cooking the burner surface is cool to the touch in minutes. This is perfect for a dorm or tiny home

Great cooktop
This little cooktop hasn't failed me since the purchase. Takes a little to get used to the temp/wattage settings but once you find your groove.... Also, The boil water setting works like a charm. Make pasta, and Hard boiled eggs in no time!

stops and starts heating fast, easy to clean
I like this cooktop because it starts and stops heating fast. The surface is easy to clean when food was overflown on. It turns out half of my pots/pans are not induction-compatible, this cooktop knows and won't turn on. The lock feature is to keep the children safe. Certainly helped a lot during holiday season cooking. Only thing I wish could improve is that the temperature adjusting is in 40 degree increment, at 160 F, the soup barely simmers, while at 200 F, it tends to overflow. It would be great if it could increment at 20 degrees.
