These are true to size. I have medium arches and most shoes for sale seem to have no arch support anymore. I have shoes ranging from $80-$400 and 90% of them regardless of construction quality offer very little in the way of arch support. These insoles are fantastic. If you have high arches I don't know that they'll be supportive enough and if you have low arches you may find them uncomfortable but if you are somewhere in between those two you can't go wrong with these. They are worth every penny. The heel cushioning is a plus but the two best things about them are how rigid the plastic is and how thin they are in the forefoot. The plastic does such a good giving support to the transverse and longitudinal arches and the thin forefoot means that even if your shoe or boot doesn't have a particularly high toe box you can still use these without feeling like your shoes or boots are too small or tight. The leather also feel great. It is more slippery than fabric though so that may come down to personal preference. Personally, I like a leather footbed. Lastly, I would not plan on just buying one pair and moving them from shoe to shoe. I tested them out in 4 or five different pairs of shoes to see how they felt in each (and they were awesome in all) but they are so rigid that they are somewhat difficult to get and out of the shoes and boots and I think this would lead to a premature separation of the leather footbed from the plastic support beneath it. I may just get a single pair to rotate through dress shoes since I don't wear them on a regular basis but I definitely wouldn't want to have to try to switch these between different pairs of shoes on a daily basis. If buying four or five of them seems a bit over the top see if your insurance will allow you to purchase them with your health savings account. I definitely plan on purchasing several more pairs.

We bought this brand of foot pad 15 years ago in Germany. They are the most comfortable foot pads I have ever had there is just something about leather. The arch support if perfect for someone with weak arches. The heal pad and the center arch pad are like a massaging cloud. They are thin but provide the cushion of a tennis shoe. Not only do they fit in my Cole Hahn dress shoes but they make the stylishly uncomfortable shoes wearable for long periods of time. I think I could actually jog in them.

I have high arches and metatarsal issues. I expected more pronounced arch and met support from these insoles. They do slightly improve the comfort of a few shoes I have, but not enough. I will keep them, but won't order another pair.What I do like about them, is the fact that they are very pleasant to the feet, and not bulky. I wish they had a version with just slightly higher arch and met bump.*** I have just upgraded my ranking from 4 to 5 stars. Here's why. These insoles do not do all the work in the shoes that have very little support, but there are shoes that do have a good arch support to start with, like Dansko sandals I had, so adding these insoles to shoes with a decent base transforms them into absolutely fabulous footwear.

I had been wearing Superfeet Black orthotics for the past 10 years, and they worked very well. Recently, my left outer ankle started hurting, and I realized it was caused by the rigid arch support of the Superfeet. I decided to try a flexible orthotic instead. I shopped around for a flexible orthotic that would be full length, offer some support for flat feet, yet still be thin enough to fit in my shoes without removable innersoles. I tried the Superfeet FLEXthin, but the arch was a little too high for me, and the whole orthotic was a little thick. The Pedag Viva Low is the only other option that I found.I found the extra padding used in the Viva Low in the metatarsal area, and the heel to be rather uncomfortable for my feet, so I pulled the orthotic apart, and removed these two pads. However, this still left the metatarsal area uncomfortable, as I could feel the carbon fiber support under the ball of my foot. I remedied the situation by shortening the front area of the carbon fiber support by 3/4", beveling the edge with a knife, and then filling in the indentation that is left where the carbon fiber was with a piece of rubber, cut from the bottom of a Dr. Scholl's AIR-PILLO Insole. The end result is a very wearable orthotic, that fits my feet well, and is comfortable.Since I know of no other product that comes ready made with the characteristics I am seeking, I will continue to buy and modify additional pairs of Viva Low, as I need additional pairs of orthotics.Perhaps Pedag might consider at some point producing a version of the Viva Low, minus the metatarsal and heel pads, and with a slightly shorter carbon fiber arch support. I would be ready to buy a whole bunch of them...

This item is terrible...it is very thin and the metatarsal support is none. Although it says “very high arch support” I cannot even feel it. My Dr Scholl inserts from Walmart are far superior. Very disappointed and I cannot return them! The box was not even sealed when I received them as well. First sad purchase from Amazon in many years. Unhappy!

I have Morton's Neuroma and problems with the ball of my foot. The support from the middle to the back of the orthotic seems sufficient but there really needs to be more of a cushion from the ball of the foot forward. I also bought the 3/4 length one no knowing which might work best for me. They seem to be well made and most likely would work for some people but don't help my problem.

I have experimented with moving these around in various shoes. For me, they work best in shoes or boots that are already a little roomy or that have a removable insole. For boots that don't have enough room for an orthotic I bought the 3/4 length Pedag Comfort. Need some relief for metatarsal pain and so far I am really liking Pedag products. The Viva seems weird at first because it is kind of hard and thin, but it feels good when you use it.

I use Pedag inserts in all my footwear: in my tougher boots I use the green ones, and when I feel like a change I use the sportier, springier, rubberier red ones. There's one pair of shoes, though, that's a bit cramped at the toe end. With either Pedag red or green, I find that my feet, in thick walking socks, are squeezed. Also, because both green and red versions have a fabric/cloth top layer, this grips the socks and makes it hard to get my feet comfortable. These 'Comfort' Pedags are the answer. The leather top layer enables my socks to slide into place with no wrinkling; and because the toe end is appreciably thinner than on the red or green ones, there's more toe wiggling space. These have the usual Pedag design, which features a firm plastic foundation for the heel/mid area, with (for me) good arch support and a (metatarsal?) 'bulge' in the middle. The trade-off from the thin construction at the toe end is that your feet have a harder landing than with the red or green but, even so, it's no worse than you'd get from a manufacturer's standard leather insole. Full marks.*In my opinion you should only wear supportive insoles after taking professional advice. Ultimately it's up to you, but they can impact your gait and the mechanics of the foot. All your body weight goes through them, so don't buy them on a whim.

I first bought a pair from a store in the continent during my vacation when it was almost impossible for me to walk any more. I'm still using this pair in my walking / activities shoes. I’m very happy with the result and the comfort they give me in my walking. The new pair is for my formal shoes so I want move them from pair to pair. You need to pay ATTENTION at the size in order to have the proper results. They must be, fit, your exact size same as you would do if you were going to buy a new pair of shoes.

They tick all my checkboxes: not thick yet very comfy, very breathable and decent support with good shock absorption for the heel.These are comfort insoles. I don't think they have enough support if you're looking for actual orthopedic insoles. If you just need comfy insoles for your everyday shoes, these are just perfect!

This is the second pair, will be buying more love the smooth surface and support for the foot.

Quality product. I have 2 so I can alternate day by day.
