What can I say that I haven't said before. Brian Cleary is a genius. We first bought these books for entertainment and have been reading them to our children since they were 3 or 4. I've leant them to a friend who has a 4th grader and she said that her daughter finally understood what an adjective is after reading them. I've used them with my students (English as a Second Language students) and they helped them understand the difference between a noun and a verb, a Synonym and a Homophone. I am now using them in my homeschool. They are fun, they are educational and they present the subject in a way that kids really understand. We have every book he has written and add to our collection as often as he writes them.If your kids are struggling with the parts of speech do them a favor and get them some Brian Cleary books.

This item was listed as new, but there is a stamp on the inside saying it belonged to a library in Ohio and a sticker inside that also says it belonged to said library with a stamp underneath that says it is "No longer property" of that library. Very disappointing. When I pay for a NEW book, I expect it to be brand spanking new. I guess I will find a different buyer to get books from next time.

This is a clever book for elementary students, written to introduce grammatical concepts. I would recommend it.

I used this book when teaching my first graders about adjectives. They have quickly become familiar with this author and LOVE these books.

I've purchased all B.P. Cleary's books on parts of speech! My students loves reading them! The bright colors and silliness is catchy and helped many of my students! :0)

This series of books is amazing. Though I imagine it to be geared to older children I read it to my 3yr old and he loves them. I will collect the entire series.
