PREMIUM HOME THEATER CENTER CHANNEL SPEAKER_ BLACK

This isn't an enthusiast level speaker, but what do you really expect for such a bargain price? I finally got around to installing a surround system in our bedroom with an old amp I had laying around, but I still needed a center speaker. Since it's just a bedroom I only needed something basic and cheap. I was pleasantly surprised by this speaker, so much so that I replaced the center speaker in my living room with this one and used the old one in the bedroom instead. It has a much fuller sound than the Pioneer it replaced and a good mount louder. My only caveat is that the top end isn't very bright, at least not as bright as other speakers I have. The build quality is also decent. It's hard to ask more of such an inexpensive speaker.

I suffer from a hearing loss and always raise the sound so I can hear better the conversations on tv, but the addition of the center speaker I really found myself better entertain watching tv as I could hear a lot better with less volume and a much sharper, clearer voices. It has made a big difference in my tv watching time specially now in football season.

I bought this to replace a bad center speaker in my Energy Take 5 set. It easily meets and maybe surpasses the sound from the Energy and the price makes it a great value. I'd highly recommend this in a satellite setup.

This speaker replaced an Advent/Jensen speaker. The sound quality is as good as the old speaker. I have a Yamaha receiver that has the ability to test each of the 7 speaker in my surround system. It also changes each speaker's output for a balanced system. Everything worked perfectly.

If you're not worried about a premium sound then this speaker will do in a pinch. I use it for a TV in my gaming area and it does a good job projecting the middle voice channel on a 5.1 stereo set up.

I'm using this as the center channel for a bedroom 5.1 system. It is the right size for the space. Dialog is balanced and clear. The small amp driving it never gets turned past 1/4.

This MONOPRICE brand of Center Speaker ordered to me in 2024 by one of my customer in setting up a 5.1 Home Theater Sound System complaint to me that this cheap speaker is not worth to buy. Since the price is cheap.... the speaker provided is only an ordinary speaker not designed for Mid-range woofer for center speaker application. The clarity of vocal conversation in the movie films you played is not noticeable because they just installed an ordinary speaker. My customer request for a Klipsch brand of Center Speaker and I was asked if 3-way (2-mid-range + 1-tweeter) is better than the 2-way like the Monoprice cheap brand. They just put this Monoprice to the garbage and I thank them for an honest feedback and my apology of installing a budget price like Monoprice. I thought Center speaker doesn't require a well-known brand because it's only for vocal clarity not for any sound effect but it should be the speaker driver designed for mid-range frequency.

I bought this because Monoprice has a reputation for providing good value for the money. This speaker turned my 4.0 system into a 5.0 system, and I believe it helps make dialogue stand out through the center channel. Don't expect too much bass, but I was able to instruct my receiver to divert low frequencies to the larger main channel speakers. Based on this good experience, I'll probably buy one of Monoprice's low price subwoofers to enhance the bass.

2nd time I received a used item sold like new on Amazon. Checked the speaker grille and upon removing it, confirmed my suspicions. USED, used, used! The previous owner probably used it with the grille off as it does sound just slightly better with it off, upon testing. The thing actually works but the mid-range/woofer driver dome (the largest one) was covered with some food dirt which was totally disgusting. I had to clean it out. And there are even some scratch marks on it as well!!! Since the price increased since I bought it, I can't just buy another and return this one, ending this fiasco, while hoping to get an actual brand NEW unit at the same low price. So I'll have to live with it. And some things couldn't be cleaned out... Disappointing. I would put zero stars if I could as Amazon seriously is the only E-commerce company to send me a used item every once in a while.... The sole reason I'm still sticking with them is that their prices really are unbeatable for certain items. Just that this kind of fiasco every once in a while is really starting to piss me off....:(

A very good centre speaker even better if used in a dual centre speaker config meaning 2 speakers sat just under each end of the screen you are watching.
