T0MMY BAHAMA 8 ft Beach Umbrella with wind vent and sand anchor

It seems like the Tommy Bahama umbrellas are some of the most popular among beach regulars. The sand anchor may be the best feature. It makes it very easy to get the umbrella securely into the sand. It has a nice tilt system and is easy to assemble and disassemble. It casts a shadow sufficient for one person (possibly 2 if they sit close together) and the UPF +50 rating is an added plus. Of course, it is vulnerable to strong winds, so I never leave it open and unattended, and avoid opening it at all on particularly windy days. Burying the base in with a nice mound of sand also helps. I'm a bit neurotic about that, but I have never had this one blow away. Stick with the true Tommy brand. The imitations are not as good, and there are often vendors here offering the real Tommy's for reasonable prices.

This is a really nice beach umbrella! It screws into the sand and doesn't move under moderate wind. It's a game changer. Go ahead and buy!

Aweful!!! I bought this brand because it’s reputable and I wouldnt have to worry about it not working. WRONG. Used it at the beach for 20 minutes before it blew inside out and the umbrella part flew out of the stand. It bent, so can’t be used again. It’s name brand junk. Very unstable!!!

Seriously the best beach umbrella I have ever had. It was the easiest one I’ve ever put up and it never even almost blew over like many other umbrellas I have used. It was light enough I could carry with my chair and beach bag and it was easy to set up. I burn extremely easy so the sun protection is probably not the best for fair skin. But with sunscreen applied once on the beach and under the umbrella all day I had minimal sun burn! I am so glad I bought this and highly recommend it!

It's pretty sturdy, it provides shadow for 2 persons, maximum 3, it holds well in the sand, can be tilted . The only thing I would change is that the height is not ajustable. I have another Tommy umbrella, and when putting the top tube into the bottom one, you can choose to insert it deeper to make the umbrella lower (this makes it less vulnerable to wind). With this one, you can't.

Fantastic umbrella! It screws down in the ground and stays! We live in Arizona where the ground can be hard, but it does what it is supposed to do! It’s strong and perfect for picnics in the park or wherever shade is needed!! It’s not just for the beach, although it works perfectly when there! Good job to the manufacturer!

Great beach umbrella! Very easy to set up, and the sand anchor holds it securely even in wind. The wind vent helps with stability, and the 8 ft size provides plenty of shade. Feels well made and perfect for beach days. Highly recommend

Used it today.Brought grandkids to the beach.Pretty windy,So I put it up and put my wagon close to it , alittle added support in the wind added 2 bungee cords to attach to wagon.Perfect.
