Allo Allo was a spoof of Secret Army utilising the same sets and costumes. But Allo Allo is remembered more than Secret Army, the more serious show.Allo Allo was the funniest thing out at the time and it is still brilliant now. You don't really need to see them in order to understand what's going on but from start to finish of the whole 9 year run there was a constant threat of something happening all the way through.Watch them just to admire the comedy and class of the 1980s, something which has been lost in our modern world.

I saw Allo Allo years ago, too long to remember exactly. It is even more funny than I remember. If you need cheering up this is essential viewing. The scripts are wonderful and the acting superb, you can view it over and over and still have a good laugh. Compared to a lot of current so called comedy, which is often depressing, this is one of the all time greats!!

Very pleased to get this DVD of a series that I worked on when I worked for BBC TV. We still enjoy them all, real classic comedy.

Wonderful,sweet, uncomplicated comedy written at a time of great comedy writing, Jeremy Lloyd & David Croft served us well throughout the 80s & 90s. And the cast, They are all so likable that you await the arrival of each one of them knowing that they will be so entertaining in their own particular way.

this would of got 5 stars but the way playback ripped us the customer off by making this a 2 part set for 1 season when the others were 2 seasons each so in that frame of mind it should of been all on 1 set if their was twice the amount of episodes (same as 2 seasons) but still a great comedy
