Conair Travel Curling Iron, Mini 1 Inch Ceramic Curling Iron in Blue by Travel Smart

I was prepared not to like this travel curling iron, having read some of the reviews after I ordered it (always good to look at those first, right?). But surprise: I love it! Yes, it's very teeny (1" barrel is good), which is what you want when traveling, in fact, I'm a bit obsessed with saving space and weight with minis... but they also have to work well, otherwise, why bother? This does work well on my fine, shoulder length hair (I imagine if you have nice thick hair it might not work as well for you). It took a little bit of getting used to (like, don't try to stuff too much hair into one pass), but it's easy to use and works well. I don't expect to do a whole salon treatment with it, but to just touch up the frizzy parts and make it all a bit better: yes on that. Also, dual voltage, very lightweight, heats and cools quickly – important if you're packing up and taking off from your hotel, as you don't want to be tucking something so hot into your bag. No auto shut off, so be aware of that. It did not come with the promised travel bag, which is a bit disappointing, but I'll make it work.

I bought this curling iron for my trip to Europe. I didn’t have too high of hopes but as a seasoned hair curler, I needed a miniature one. It literally fits in the palm of my hand. I have medium length hair and it takes me max 25 minutes to curl my hair. If you’re a beginner at hair curling, it could definitely take longer. The barrel is only 2-3 inches so I could only coil one curl at a time.It heats up fairly quickly and my curls last all day. There’s only one heat setting but it’s definitely hot enough. I would say maybe 350°-400° F. I’m so glad I got it! It’s good quality as well, not cheapy.

Generally worked well, good heat, nice heat container so you can pack up and go b4 waiting to cool off.But way too small for anything shoulder length or below. Also, hard to use for layered cuts as the top part doesn't close tightly so small pieces fall out.

Love the small size of this curling iron for travel and packing. However, you definitely need to practice using it to be able to depend on styling results. It’s short barrel and narrow hinge make it feel differently in your hands and near your head/hair. Hair sections need to be smaller to style. Practice makes perfect! It heats up quickly and also cools down quickly for packing. I’m getting accustomed to using it well. Good buy for travel and packing in a small space.

This little guy is tiny but oh so mighty! I took it to Europe and it worked in England and Scotland but not France. Which was ok just had 2 days of pony tails. Believe it or not I have made this my primary curling iron!! Now its a travel iron so it doesn't have the temp control larger irons have so you need to pay attention, this little guy gets very hot! But its so small it fit in my make up bag! Its awesome!

Keep in mind this is very small ! I got it for traveling I have short hair n just need to curl my ends . This little guy is PERFECT! Sooo easy to control because the iron is only about 4”! I really like it

This curling iron is very short which makes it great for travel. Smaller size makes it difficult to use. Would be good to do touch ups. My hair is shoulder length and it didn’t do well for a full styling.

I will be taking this tiny curling iron to Europe. I usually use a 1.5" barrel, but couldn't find this in a travel size. I used it to curl my hair yesterday as a trial run. It works and is exactly what the descriptions says it does. I have medium thick hair about 5" below my shoulders. I was able to curl all the ends of my hair and a few locations I took the time to curl the full strand of hair in about 5 minutes. It is easy to do the ends but definitely took some dexterity and time to do the full length curls. It is doable but will need to get used to it (and I have small hands). However, the positive outweighs the difficulty. It is TINY, lightweight and easy to travel. Dual voltage. I'm traveling with a carry on and a backpack only, so this is a necessity. I just wish it was about an inch longer with slightly more barrel length and cool tip length and came in different barrel widths.
