Philips EasySpeed Plus Iron with 150g Steam Boost, 2400W and Ceramic Soleplate - Purple - GC2146/39

I used to hate ironing. I must say that owning an iron as pleasant to use as this one has made my experiences significantly better. It's exactly as described - doesn't leak any water, heats up very fast, changes between temperatures/settings quickly, easy to hold, lightweight, with a ceramic plate that makes ironic even more effective as it smoothly adheres to the fabric. The steam can be set to none, eco, and two higher settings. All settings are clearly marked by both dots and words (synthetics/silk/cotton), which is not only particularly useful for someone learning these for the first time, but should in my opinion be a standard (I had the unfortunate experience of encountering irons that didn't have any marks at all, which is just ridiculous.) I've tried all the available functions on this iron and everything works; I've also used it for 3+ hours at a time; it's clear that the iron is qualitatively and safely made. The purple/violet colour is lovely and the design is aesthetically pleasing.I purchased this iron because my family recommended the Phillips brand to me, and I'm very happy I decided for this product. I'd definitely recommend it to everyone.

Great quality and value for money

At the beginning I was concerned about this because I didn’t know what to choose, and I just ordered this one, and was just a good idea. I have this for almost 1 year , and is working very well, heated fast, ironing good, no problems with this product!

It steams well and tackles a pile of ironing quickly while being light and easy to use for someone with a sore shoulder

I order this as my iron had broken so I needed one for the next day so that I could get the uniforms ironed. It cam with a sticker on the box saying was £34.99 now £15.99. But I was charged £53.99. I am really not happy about this. So don't waste your money guys its not worth it. To add on to the last review, the code on the box is not the same code as the instructions and there was drops of water in the iron. So it wasn't even a new product. Needless to say it is on its way back and I will be getting a full refund.

Good iron! Had other branded expensive irons in the past and they don’t seem to last. Found this Philips one and decided to give it a go, for the money you can’t go wrong, very pleased overal.

Bought this iron Jan 2019. Water leaks out of the handle. It was fine and worked well until recently (Aug 2019). However I have given an extra star for Philips customer service. Their response was friendly and swift with a replacement new iron (upgraded) on its way.
