While I only just received the product, I feel just in writing this review, and plan on updating. First, it absolutely smells of plastic and some other chemical. We have a finished basement, where there is not only the laundry, but workout room, and entertainment room. I had the mat airing out in the workout area initially, however the plastic smell was far too overwhelming, even with the fresh scent of the laundry detergent,(because I was doing laundry as well) tying to hang out and play video games or watch movies in the entertainment room was a nightmare, I felt lightheaded. I put the mat outside, after rubbing some coconut oil on it, I brought it in after about 5 hours outdoors, and it still smells like that awful plastic. I am going to scrub it down outside tomorrow with the hose and cleaner, and let it air out, if I can't get rid of the smell that way, I will be trashing this product. I can't use it, the smell is awful. Even with the smell gone I am questioning keeping it because in my case, I am only recently getting back into yoga after surgery for ovarian cancer, I am not sure being around a product that smells this chemical and awful can be any good to be inhaling, for myself or anyone else for that matter. I ordered several mats, Clever being one, which is a brand I have used before, but I liked this design on this one, and I needed multiple mats, so I gave this a shot, and can't say I am thrilled. So two things will happen. It will either smell better after a scrubbing, and I will use it for my Tues morning class, or I trash it, due to smell, and rent a mat from my studio until my other one comes in.That being said, the design is really pretty, and the thickness is great for someone like myself, having limitations after surgery.EDIT: COULD NOT get ri of the smell, I do not use it, rolled it up, and tossed it, I have new mats, that don't smell

I like this matt alot perfect thickness so i don't need to move off my mat for balancing stances and thick enough to keep knees from hurting. It does smell petro fumes i left mine outside for 3 to 4 days. Got rained on wiped it down and took a while to totally dry out. the smell eventually goes away. Its just a little more slippery than my old matt but sure looks alot better and easier on my knees. If I decide to get another one I will open it up outside and just let it out there for week maybe scrubbing it with dawn liquid detergent or something. If you really like the design your ordering I think you will be happy. Be Happy Do Yoga!

I'd 100% recommend this, because it's attractive and functional as described (not the thickest, but it doesn't claim to be) but it loses major points because it wreaks of poisonous smelling toxic chemicals. We had to air it out outside for 3+ days. So what would've been a no-brainer is now something I'll have to evaluate next time I'm looking for a yoga mat

This is a super thin, flimsy mat. Which isn’t necessarily the issue. The issue is that it’s not durable at all. After one use, I started to find small chunks of the mat breaking off. Now everytime I use it, I have to sweep up little pieces of foam afterwards. Spend your money on a more durable mat elsewhere.

Its nice and plush and definitely helps when I do planks, pushups, and other workouts. It had a slight plastic smell when I opened it but I left it unrolled for a day to air out and that took care of it. I have used it almost daily and still no tears or splits. Its easy to store and great for the price.

Ordered this because my previous mat had started to get bad. This mat has a fun pattern that made my kids happy. Used in my living room on berber carpet and it didn't move around under me and provided a nice cushion for stretching. I am short, so this was a good length for me to fit head to toes on for those long stretches. After watching the kids try to claim it, I made need to get another in a different pattern to make them happy.

Thin mat with adequate amount of cushion for the average person, someone with knee issues etc might want more cushion. Good grip, does not slid and the the design is gorgeous. I love it. I've only had it for a few weeks so I can not comment on long term durability.

This mat is rather thin and has been chunked up rather easily by my cat (just by running over it, not by clawing it like a scratching post). But, you get what you pay for, and I couldn’t beat the price at the time, nor did I realize I would prefer a thicker mat.
