I'm guessing that this battery has three times the capacity of the original one. Make sure you let it cool off before recharging. Very important. I'd purchase this again!

I need to retract this review- Old the old battery and had it charged, and tried to use it last night and the same thing was happening and I thought to myself ohh my gosh that battery broke my Dyson lol something didn't make sense and I took the battery apart I mean the vacuum and it was something that was stuck that was preventing the suction so that's why it would suck and then stop suck and then it stopped. I apologize that I thought it was this battery and I am retracting what I've said and don't use this review as a negative because now I don't know how good the battery is or is not lol Do not buy-I have become somewhat of a smarter shopper by reading reviews. This one had a lot of good reviews, but I should have paid more attention to the guy that said it stopped charging after a few months. Sometimes I think ohh just picky buyer but some reason it kind of stayed in my head. And it was proven correct... do not buy, Especially now when they are giving you warnings that everything has to be intact unused and they will take money away from you and all these different warnings trust me if someone says it didn't work for them use that as your guiding point I was very pleased when I first received it and used it a couple times, I'm not a heavy duty vacuum or, however I'm fully charged, and I started using it it starts and stops starts and stops starts and stops and then it stops completely and I'm talking about a week some off brands are better not bought. Works. Doesn't overheat. Been using it a month and the charge still holds. However, it didn't screw in quite as well to the canister and now the vacuum squeals a little bit when I use it.

Fit my stick Dyson perfectly. Very easy to replace the battery, just watch a video. I can vacuum my entire house with this, take about 45 minutes. With the original battery it would die out right when I was done, this one still has juice left amazingly. It also has better suction than it did originally. After I vacuum, I let it sit and cool about 10 minutes before I plug it back into the charger. The directions tell you to do that, rather be safe than sorry. We’ve had this 6 months or so now, no issues, it’s been great.

I've been using this for about 2-3 months, and it seems to work just fine. The original Dyson batteries last about 3 years. This is the third time I have replaced the battery in the Dyson. We'll see how long this lasts.

Easy replacement, but doesn’t last as long as it should

This replacement battery rejuvenated my Dyson. High speed was literally lasting 5 seconds on the old battery, and when I changed to this replacement battery, my vacuum felt like a new one. Now I can actually use my vacuum to vacuum the whole house and also use the high-speed setting when needed without the battery dying every couple of minute. Installation was pretty straightforward.
