This is wonderful for beginners. It is a little off but fine.

As someone who is trying to get started learning the violin, this is really helpful! It's been easier to get started playing and seeing where the notes are, and I really love how the guide is able to stay on the violin. The bright colors are also really nice so that you can see it even at a tilt. At first I thought the guide was like a sticker that leaves nasty residue, but was pleasantly surprised to see that it is not like a sticker and more like a film that stays on by wrapping onto the back of the fingerboard.In addition, the seller / customer service was so quick and kind. I had an issue (which was my own fault), but I was reached out to quickly and was able to resolve the issue smoothly!

I accidentally ordered the wrong size. I contacted the seller and they sent out the correct one right away. I received it a couple days later and I sent the wrong one back to them. They were extremely easy to work with and the product itself is very easy to use. Great for beginners to get familiar with finger and note placement. Highly recommend!

Great product for beginners.

I don't even know how I planned on teaching myself violin without it. I started trying to teach myself to play violin after my parents got me a violin for Christmas, but it wound up spending most of the next decade in a closet with occasional forays out into the house. It's nearly impossible to learn finger positioning when you're constantly readjusting your fingers to get the violin to stop screaming instead of practicing the correct position to begin with. This little tool makes it possible to see while listening to know where your fingers should be and attaches to the violin in a readily readjustible way without damaging the varnish. The only thing to be aware of is that it can make the strings sound a little strange (it messes with the vibration at the neck a little), but it's perfect for beginners and doesn't need to stay on forever.

I researched a lot of different options to mark notes on the violin and finally settled on this one because of the colors and it being able to be removed without causing any permanent damage. The item was shipped quickly and is of the highest quality. I mistakenly ordered this for a 3/4 size when I actually needed a full size one. When I contacted the seller they had me taken care of in just a few hours time so 5 Plus stars on the customer service and 5 stars on the product! I am very pleased and would recommend you use this seller if you need to mark notes on your violin!

I got a notice a couple of hours after I ordered that the product had shipped, then I also got a helpful email from the seller thanking me for the purchase. So the customer service was fantastic.As for the finger guide itself, it's very good. Went on pretty easily. Once in a while, my son manages to move it a little, but it's easy to put back in place. Most importantly (for young kids anyway), it really helps them understand the concept of creating specific notes by pressing different places on the neck. I'd tried to explain it before to my son, but the finger guide made it very clear. Like training wheels, I can already see that we won't be needing it that long -- the finger guide does a good job of making itself unnecessary.
