Mayne Inc. Modesto 32in Tall Planter - Neptune Blue - 16in L x 16in W x 32in H - 6 Gallons of Soil Capacity (8880-NB)

Purchased this well over a year ago to hold a decorative outdoor bush/tree that I expect to grow to almost 6-feet. The combo exceeds HOA requirements for concealing the garbage/recycle roll-to-the curb bins. I've had a few neighbors inquire with interest of doing similar for their homes. The Planter is well made, of high quality, heavy duty (great for outdoor use) and looks very good. The bush/tree I put in it continues to grow, is at 4+feet now - worth noting is the height of the planter being tall, the tree actually peaks above 6-foot with as much as another 2-feet of growth to be realized. I've actually borrowed idea from Mayne's other planters to allow this one to hold water since the tree receives direct sunlight morning to late afternoon. The setup has done very well (without having to add water) thru a summer and a half. I'm very pleased with the purchase and highly recommend.

Excellent quality and good value. I like the weight and especially like a ten inch depth for planting with a plug to drain if needed.

You open the top, pull out a piece of paper you'll never read, and then lift out the planter. That's it. For something that looks so substantial in the photos, it’s shockingly lightweight. I was fully prepared to grunt, heave, and possibly throw out my back, but I lifted it out with the ease of grabbing a bag of groceries. The moment of truth came when I placed a trio of them in the yard. It was an instant upgrade. The kind of simple, dramatic change you see on a home makeover show, minus the tearful backstory. They just... worked. They immediately looked important, structured, and deliberate. After setting them up, I tried to pin down the planter's personality, and then it hit me: it’s a soldier from Buckingham Palace. It’s not flashy. It doesn’t scream for attention. It simply stands there, stoic and composed, doing its job with dignified silence. It has one duty—to look good and hold a plant—and it performs that duty flawlessly. It's the kind of feature people just like looking at. Now, let's talk about the elephant in the room: the price tag for a pot made of plastic. You're not paying for rare materials here. You're paying for the design, the scale, and the sheer convenience. You're paying for the "wow, that was easy" factor. The verdict? If your yard needs to stand a little straighter and look a lot sharper, consider hiring a few of these silent sentinels. They're the easiest employees you'll ever manage.

This is not an outdoor planter. It is too light and requires you to add weight to planter to keep from thouing your plant to the ground in windy conditions. You must fill the planter with water and drill a hole to drain water for plants requiring full drainage before watering. Manufacture information shows outdoor pictures of pot without additional requirements need for outside use. I will not buy any products from this company.

I wanted a planter for the patio, but I was worried about it being sturdy enough to hold up against the wind. I left it outside, without a plant in it for a few weeks to make sure it wouldn't blow over. I had no problems at all. I did put about 2 lbs of gravel in the bottom to help. I've had a plant in it for several days and even with the strong winds, it hasn't blown over. It's well made and really pretty. I really liked that it is a bit different from most of the other tall planters available. I will probably buy more for other areas around my house.

Folks, rethink getting the 32 inch tall planter. It's really nice looking, but WAY, WAY TOO TOP HEAVY. Get a shorter size or figure out a way to stabilize it. I tried. Would anyone like to take these from me?
