impressive. ...however:
So got these today and first impressions are that they really good looking, light, buttery smooth, and all for the £21 mark you doing really well. They don't look too wide, in fact I think they perfect. It may be that they are rather thin edgeways that keeps them seem classy and like the decent grip pins. It's the little things designed into it that are on more pricier pedals like rubber seals...and the fact that one can open them to service them if they have been in some bad weather and you can strip them and clean them out once a year perhaps, which takes me to the four rather than five stars: Now I'm a guy that likes to look inside out of curiosity and to see what bearings I'm dealing with here with maintenance always on my mind. There are two sealed cartridge bearings, one either side of the axle which I feel are perfect for the job of a pedal. I insist on opening new components to ensure there is enough lubrication, and ensure there is enough grease right at the ends near seals and caps to stop water ingress in its tracks even before it begins getting in. The information tells us here that there are THREE BEARINGS when in fact there are only two. This doesn't diminish the product but simply saying three when there are two sets of bearings isn't necessary. I like this product all the same and hell yes I'll buy them over and over if they can last two years because they are really affordable pedals for what I see you getting. In fact just when I was about to give up on the hunt for reasonable pedals at a reasonable price and just bite the wallet and get a well known high end serviceable set of pedals these came up and saved me. I do maintenance on all my bikes and from time to time other peoples' bikes so will be recommending them as the one and only budget pedals to get. If I see price increases here I'll definitely buy four or five to keep. 😉

Affordable, lightweight, strong and they look fabulous!
Terra Hiker Aluminium Alloy Mountain Bike Pedals with Three Bearings Bicycle Pedals Flat Cycling Pedals 9/16" (Set of 2) (Silver) I bought these pedals to replace the original black plastic Wellgo pedals that came standard on my mountain bike. They looked great in silver and were fairly light with a very slim profile. They definitely felt strong compared to plastic pedals and were marked “L” and “R” for left and right (note: threads are different for left and right hand side). Looking at each side, on top you had 8 traction pins made from aluminium for greater foot grip. They were of the 9/16th thread standard, which is typical for mountain bikes (1/2" is the standard used on BMX bikes). It’s advisable to put a little bit of lithium grease on the threads when installing.Im very happy with these pedals, they felt strong, moved smoothly and best of all they looked great (much better than the plastic ones that came with my bike). Big thumbs up.I’ve included a picture of me comparing them next to the original mountain bike pedals so you can get an idea of how slim they are. Thanks for taking the time to read my review.

a bit to wide in my opinion, movement when ...
a bit to wide in my opinion ,movement when you just have toes of feet on them ,i never use instep when riding bike . just toes , these are wide enough to get full foot on nearly ,when you just use toes with these for some reason they are not flat enough and the is movement cause of the space between side and middle so they tend to go back n forth under your feet while riding and it makes them feel as if they are loose on there bearings

Not great, low studs, slippy middle bar area.
Although they looked good on my bike and seemed to be a nice quality for the money, I ended up returning these. The main reason is that they were not grippy enough. In fact quite the opposite. The studs area ok but not as high or as biting as I would have liked. What really let the pedals down is that the middle bar area (central spindle) that comes out from where they secure into the crank arm is way too high making the studs ineffective. It's level or higher than the top of the studs. The peddle on either side should be like a concave so that the inner part of the shoe rubber sinks a bit in the middle of the peddle enforcing the rubber onto the studs to really bite in. I felt the soles of my trainers slipping around on that smooth middle bar which was really frustrating and distracting. They were slightly better than the cheap plastic factory issue pedals that came with the bike that but not worth keeping these for my needs.

I used mine for 1 ride and switched back to my old set.
Some people seem to really like these, but i didn't get on with them at all!I used mine for 1 ride and switched back to my old set.The problem i have with these pedals is lack of grip, the centre axle area is slightly higher than the outter pin areas so my foot could not sit flat across the whole platform, so with a dry foot it's not really a big deal, but when it gets even a little bit damp it gets really slippery, the raised axle part makes my foot slide around untill the pins manage to dig in.So it took just one ride with every bump being a "is this going to be a shin full of pins" moment, for me to decide to go back to my old pedals which i wanted to replace as the pins a pretty worn down but still gives me way more grip than these.Top tip for buying pedals, always get concaved platform pedals!.

Great Quality pedals.
Purchased for a 29er mountain bike. They are clearly high quality, have been used regularly for over a year and are highly recommended for commuting or XC usage. Easily fitted, robust and stylish.

Okay for kids bike
Fitted these pedals to my mountain bike which only took a matter of minutes just make sure to grease the fred when fitting which makes easy removal in the future, when fitting I was a little hesitant that they could take my 100kg body weight, gave them a test for a 30 minute ride and all was good, giving good grip with my feet so so far so good, pedalds do feel a bit on the cheap side and time will tell how long they last, they look better in the picture than real life, I will update in the future.Would I recommend these? for a kids bike yes.[...]

Good quality set of pedals.
Good pair of pedals, was torn between flats or clips so decided on these, only quam with them is that the bearings may be a little big for the pedals as you can feel them through your shoes on occasion depending on your foot placement.
