Space saving and eco-friendly growing containers
I had been looking for some terra cotta or untreated wood planters for my tomatoes to no avail. I couldn't find any wood planters locally made of natural untreated wood, and the terra cotta pots were all so heavy. I searched my good friend Google and found these cost effective and non-toxic alternatives. I ordered the 7 gallon size, and they are super easy to fill with dirt and plant. They are sewn well so I have no concerns about durability. The tomato cage stays upright without any support so far. I did purchase some rolling dollies to move these around easier, but even without the handles they’re not too heavy. So far my tomatoes are doing great; I’ll update if any negatives occur throughout the growing season.

If you're growing with a hydroponic media, this is something that will change your garden. I went from a ten plant, 1.2 pound yield, to a two plant 2 pound yield. The oxygen intake to the root system is increased to such a degree that growth is unstoppable. You would have to graduate to a dwc with massive air stones to compare. The smart pot also allows the root system to have better control of ph, and nutrient deficiencies and/or build-ups, just better control all around. You have a lot of leeway with this system. You can ballpark your measurements and still get massive results, the plant maintains itself much better. The only thing I wish is that I switched a long time ago. I'll never grow in regular pots again. It's like having an air stone system in soil. That's the best I can describe it. I haven't tried a regular soil grow in these, I'm using soilless pro-mix, but I would still back these up in a heartbeat. I combined two of these with a scrog system, a 1000 watt hid, and a basic nute routine. Flowers occurred sooner, were two to three times the size I was used too, and stacked. I used a third gen clone, so I had a good basis for comparison.Since the lumens in a room are finite, you have a limit on yield. If you're struggling to get everything you can out of your light's output, this is a step in the right direction. You will not be disappointed, or regret this purchase. They're well made, and heavy duty. Mine are 15 gallon, that's what I'm reviewing. I would assume construction quality of different sizes are the same, but can't attest to that.Mine seem to suspend about three gallons of water before any flushing occurs. This is so much better than multiple pots needing attention. Stems are a thing of the past, I have branches now. I've incorporated a silica nutrient into my regimen, so this is playing a part, but I still think the improved breathing of the root system is also a major factor.I tried really hard to think of any cons, but seriously, there's none. My results and experiences with these containers has been nothing but positive. If there is anything to mention, I would only say that when you set your watering solution's ph, take into consideration the intake of air into the root system. My experience so far has shown that I need to set the solution at a 6.2 to achieve a 5.8 once it's gone through a moderately developed root system. When your plant is small, this isn't a big problem. However, as the root system grows and develops, you will need to take this into consideration. You would have the same issue in a regular container, but more so in this one. The outside air temperature, readily available oxygen, and ease of run-off are factors to consider when setting your nutrient solution ph. Also, and this is getting into minutia, I had to adjust the magnesium levels to correct an iron build-up. This was very slight, and I'm not sure if this container had anything to do with it. I don't have RO water to use, and that is always going to be a factor.I've tested these in a real world scenario and seen the results. If you're looking for hydroponic 'purist' results in a soilless media, this is as good as it gets. You would have to go to a recirculating dwc system to get better results, and even then, I would put these to the challenge. Highly recommended.

Works well
I'm growing squash in one, and spicy lettuce in another. They've worked quite well. They were deeper than I needed for my purposes and we're going to need a lot of potting soil, so I filled the bottom with some cheap bulk ping pong balls that I also ordered on Amazon. It's worked well, and I've had no drainage purposes.

Love the bags and the colors.....
Great bags for plantings! I planted 3 blueberry plants and 2 grape vines in my 5 - 20 gal. bags. Totally moveable and water drains quickly. Air roots the plants which is great! Made in the USA in OKC, OK. Love the bag colors as it helps me to recall what I've planted in each bag. Will purchase more in the future.

Incredible
I don't know how I'll ever use a solid pot again, particularly for balcony, deck or porch plantings. No, they aren't decorative but typically speaking decorative pots function poorly...they trap water or disperse it too quickly, they cause your plants to become root bound, they are heavy. I had pretty low expectations, I was looking for a reasonably-priced solution to growing out a couple of young Fig trees and potentially some citrus that will need to be physically moved twice a year. Given the price, I expected inferior seams or thin fabric or some other inherent defect that would cause me to look for another solution next year. These things are the fabric equivalent of tanks. Quality sewing and thick fabric that I would expect to last a significant number of years. For my purposes, I may have gone a bit overboard on the size - I expected them to be smaller so I kicked it up a notch or two - I suspect that the 15 gallon model will easily hold a 2-6 ft tall tree. These would also be useful for growing potatoes or other root vegetables, particularly since the handles will allow you to "right-size" the location...I shudder at the thought of purposely tearing holes for side-planting, however I think these would work marvelously for a blueberry bush with strawberries bursting around the edges (that would certainly make them more attractive).Regardless, if you consider function to be superior to form these are the ticket...I plan on acquiring many more for my various experiments.

A must for container gardening!
The media could not be loaded. Absolutely love this product!!! I purchased 6 last year. I am in a new home and I knew I wanted to grow a garden. I priced out how much it would cost to put in a garden bed, and it was a crazy amount, so I decided I was going to do a container garden and found these bags. I purchased the 15 gallon one, takes almost 4 cubic feet of garden soil in the bag to fill up about ¾ full. Last year my crops were good. So, this year, I decided to do 1 more type of veggie, so I needed 1 more bag. In my photos, the one that you can see more than 1 bag in it, the new bag is over to the far right and the other are from last year. I left these bags out all winter with the soil still in them, just removed the plants at the end of the season last year. I am in the Midwest, so they were in the snow, ice and cold and still look great for their 2nd year of being used. If you are looking for doing a container garden, definitely try these bags, they are worth it!
