Great item for on the fly recording. Use a mono-pod or mini tripod to reduce handling noise.

This product comes with a lapel mic that is a TRRS 3.5mm jack, but the Zoom H1e is compatible with TRS mics. You are going to need to buy a TRRS to TRS adapter if you want to use the mic included in this package.

The item arrived undamaged and the recorder is in perfect (new) condition. The recorder and other items in the bundle were all packaged nicely in a single vacuum pack.One problem: there is supposed to be a lavalier microphone. No lavalier mic was included. There is, however, a small SD card carrying case that was not part of the description.I thought I was getting the mic at a small discount.

EDIT: I contacted Zoom for product support on the useless lab mic they sold me, and after two weeks, nothing but crickets. Will consider changing the review if they actually get back to me.Zoom H1 recorder sounds great. Was able to get very clean audio from a short range and set up was super easy. Unfortunately, the lav is not compatible and should not be sold with the device unless they intend to include some sort of adapter to fix the issue.

Overall great bundle that has everything you typically need. However, there is one oversight that is a bit disappointing. The included LAV microphone has a TRRS connector (3 lines) where the Zoom H1 Essential only supports microphones with a TRS connector (2 lines)I think they should include this adapter in the bundle.

I purchased this to do interviews and first one i did sounded terrible. Waiting to hear from seller.
