I let my HVAC license expire in 2020 and have not touched an ac system since. I had two of my properties have ac issues at the same time. One was standard 3 speed and was easy to get it up and running. The other one was a variable speed and it took me longer than expected. I knew I needed to get back up to speed with the newer systems if I didn’t want to have a ac company out to fix them from here on out. This book was exactly what I needed. It’s super easy to use and the walkthrough on the problems is super simple to follow. It reminded me to do basic things that I had completely forgotten about. I have used only once since then but it is in my ac pack out just in case.

Phenomenal book. As a Journeyman Electrician who is now looking to become dual ticketed in HVAC, this book provides the knowledge base needed to begin the trade

Two things become immediately apparent upon reading this book: 1. It is very information dense! I was initially nervous when I saw how thin it seemed, but the author utilizes every page to fill potential. No wasted space with superfluous diagrams or stock photos. Everything has a purpose. 2. The author is GENUINELY PASSIONATE about HVAC systems! This isn’t a bland technical manual, it’s a labor of love! This is entire HVAC course, taught by an engaging and enthusiastic instructor. I am completely new to HVAC systems, and this book is amazing! ______ If you are someone who gets overwhelmed by blocks of text, this book might seem daunting, but if you are one who loves info-dumping and full details, this book is for you! (Heck, even if you do get overwhelmed by text blocks, I’d still recommend this book as a backbone reference to HVAC system.)

Good for its value, good amount of information.

Very poor quality printing. I am learning HVAC and was very disappointed when I received this book. There is no data on practical use. ( How to actually connect gauges, etc. for example) No useful photos of actual equipment. I was fooled by Beginner's Bible) title. I spent the $100 for" Refrigerant Charging and Service Procedures ..." and paid for the book and some tools in my first job of changing a bad capacitor. This textbook is laid out- I can't describe it well- like a government study- chock full of data I don't need to know. Tried to return to Amazon and they offered credit if I kept it - took the credit. I mean the Author no disrespect and I know he worked hard on this - I just want to let beginners starting in this field this is not a good practical basic text.
