Classic, but still the best
Such a iconic classic product, used this over 30+ years ago when I first got into electronics. Its hard to believe it’s still the best product after all these years.Note: Most solder you buy now is lead free, which can be very fiddly to use and to get a good finish with. Generally you will need your iron to be very hot as the melting point of lead free solder is high. This solder has lead, so the melting point is much lower, also this brand has the tin to lead mix perfect with just the right amount of flux. Thus, why I prefer this solder for fine solder work SMD or where I want a nice finish.Always was expensive solder, but seems extremely expensive nowadays with super cheap Chinese solder for sale.

On the expensive side but worth it
There's not a lot of solder here for the money. However if you want hobby quantities of high quality solder that just does the job it's what you want.Having gotten back into hobby electronics after about a 10 year break I thought my skills were much rustier than they actually were. The problem was Pb free solder. While I'm sure there is high quality and easier to use RoHS solder out there, it's a mine-field. This known good brand from the days of old just-works.It melts unbelievably easy and is extremely easy to work with. It's worth noting however it is a highly active flux solder so while joints will be completed quickly it is important that the solder is applied at the joint and there will be globs of flux left behind.

How soldering should be.
Absolutely brilliant solder.I've struggled in recent years with lead free solder but since switching to this the quality of my work has improved no end. It flows properly, meaning your solder joints are neat and tidy, but most importantly effective and accurate, even in fine work.Very, very happy.

The original and the best
If you want to solder properly, use this, not that tree-hugging lead-free stuff. That's like trying to solder with plastic, it's useless.

Lovely lead.
I have gone back to this solder after finding various lead free solders less than ideal. This solder melts more quickly and I find it easier to flow. I feel it is too expensive as you do not get a lot in the dispenser but I will still buy it.
