I have never heard of a solid shampoo before and so was intrigued to try this product. It was easy to lather and washed my hair really well without drying it out. So very pleasantly surprised. Also, block comes with a nice little bag to hang the shampoo up in. The block goes down slowly with use so it should last a while. So worth a try!

This is a review for the Kitsch Castor Oil Vegan Shampoo Bar.PROS:* Washes my hair well. Leaves it feeling light and fluffy but not overly-stripped.* Good for those who like to go a few days between washes - my hair doesn't seem to get greasy as quickly with this shampoo as it can with other bars.* Sulphate free and veganCONS:* Comes with excessive plastic packaging. This is always frustrating in shampoo bars, as many people buy them to reduce their reliance on plastics.* The bottom surface (without the ridges) is uneven and, even after multiple uses, scratches my scalp when I use the bar.* Comes with an entirely unnecessary mesh bag. Yes, this is made from recycled plastic, but it's still more plastic entering my home that is incredibly inconvenient for me to recycle further due to a lack of appropriate facilities in my area. The majority of people are just going to throw this bag into their rubbish bin.* The "prosperina" (is that a misspelling of Proserpina?) card that is included is a poor quality bent piece of thin card with a cringeworthy affirmation. I'm not sure why it's mentioned in the listing as some kind of special feature.* £22 for a bar!!! I usually buy a very good vegan and sulphate free shampoo bar from an eco-friendly brand that costs about £4 and comes without any plastic packaging. It's only slightly less effective that this one. I cannot conceive of the day where I would think £22 was justified for this product.

This shampoo bar has become a staple in my shower. It lathers well and leaves my hair feeling clean and soft. The castor oil seems to be helping with hair growth too, but it's early days yet. The bar is lasting longer than I expected, and the travel bag is a nice touch.
