Needed a finer option instead of perilite. This worked out perfectly. Use it quite a bit in seed starting.

Works great. Light weight and great texture.

Crushed sand glass. Plants somehow love it. Silica, a key nutrient in some species helps aerate the soil greatly. Product came in a compressed brick vacuum sealed-ish bag. Arrived on time and is exactly what it says it is. Price is a little wobbly though compared to amounts received. It does work and I’m happy with the purchase.

This is a must have for your vegetable soil mixture, as it lets the soil hold water without over soaking the plants.

Unfortunately I opened it after it arrived because I was in a hurry to use it. But when I poured it into a container so I could store it, all of it fit into an animal cookie container from Costco. The container the cookies came in is a 1 gallon container which holds 64 Oz by weight of Kirkland organic animal cookies. I think I am being generous by saying this bag started with six quarts because I certainly didn't use two quarts. I had intended on this being a supply that would last me a considerable amount of time. But that's not the case so since I shop by price, instead of this being a good deal it was a horrible deal. Since the bag was not plainly labeled I didn't catch it in time.
