I hate to say it
Very frustrating. I replaced the old seal that was falling apart, but not leaking. I was able to 'adjust' the new one so it didn't leak and was able to run thru one cycle. After that, it will not hold. I'd put the old one back, but had thrown it away after it worked for a full cycle. Now what? I guess buy a new dishwasher after spending $150 to spruce up the old one.I hate to say it. But, no more American crap for me.

Junk
I bought this gasket (NOT from this seller) to replace the gasket on my ~2005 Jenn-Air stainless steel dishwasher. While the old gasket wasn't leaking, it's worn out down at the ends and I thought I'd replace it proactively. The replacement part Whirlpool now is a different design that's thinner and lighter than the original gasket. The part that holds the gasket into the groove in the dishwasher is way flimsier than the original gasket. I spent at least 45 minutes monkeying around with this gasket to get it to stay in the groove and eventually kinda sorta got it situated. Ran a rinse cycle, the darn thing leaks.Put the original gasket back in...took 30 seconds, seats properly and securely in the groove, doesn't leak. FML.My family always bought Maytag products...they were simply built better than the competition. When Whirlpool bought them out I knew I'd eventually suffer from it, and now it's happening. This isn't the only Whirlpool "Maytag" replacement part I've bought in the last few years that's been sub-standard and didn't last/work. When it comes time to replace my Maytags, you can be sure it will NOT be with a Whirlpool product!
