Love it
BEAUGATHER, and among all the options. found that the price of this model is the best. Negative comments about it have never happened to me, I have read its manual and the operation is very simple. It was very lightweight and could be lifted with one hand, and there was no sound whileworking. Watching it keep cleaning the leaves in the swimming pool, I am very happy. I no longer have to put in a lot of effort to clean the pool. I like its dual charging mode. Since it was cloudy yesterday, I used its charging mode, which exceeded my expectations because the manual stated that the charging mode could work for three hours, but in reality, it was not enough. Yesterday, I had to work for at least five or six hours before turning it off. Today, the sun was rising, and the sun continued to charge the pool skimmer through the solar panel. It ran for a long time until sunset. Its intelligent radar function is well-designed, allowing it to automatically turn in front of the pool wall and then cycle back into operation. My neighbor has a tall tree, and the leaves often fall into my swimming pool. My little dog Peter also likes to swim in the pool. So there is a layer of leaves and some dog hair floating on my swimming pool for a long time. Previously, I used to use handheld pool vacuums and leaf nets, whichtook me a long time. My body also became very tired, and my swimming pool still left some small debris that couldn't be completely cleaned. Now I can lie by the swimming pool and bask in the sunshine, waiting for the BEAUGATHER pool cleaning robot to clean the pool and enjoy the swimming pool, good! The mesh of the trash basket is almost invisible, andbesides the leaves, it can alsocollect small insects and dog hair. Its cleaning is also very simple, just (1) take out the basket, (2) dispose of the garbage, (3) rinse the trash basket with a water pipe, and (4) put the trash basket back into the robot's belly. I really love it!If your swimming pool is attractive to leaves, petals, puppies, and insects, I strongly recommend purchasing BEAUGATHER, which changes the game rules and makes cleaning the pool very simple.

Not even one year!
Purchased this Oct of 2024. Today, May 2025 it no longer works :-( Worked great in the beginning and I was ecstatic to have found such a gem. Now, it will not turn on or off. It just makes a funky noise and will not run. Tried charging to no avail. An investment I did not need to lose so quickly. Look elsewhere for something that will last. This one didn't even make it to one year!!!

Why did I wait for this?!
I had recently bought an above ground pool to tide me over until next year when my in ground goes in. My yard is not much more than a sand pit at the moment, so I did think I would need anything fancy to keep it clean. Then the reality set in as to how easily debris from everywhere and dead insects find their way into your pool and float around on the surface. Well after doing some research I decided to invest in this pool robot. Well I am so happy with the end results, I haven't had to use my pool net since and it floats there until the sun comes up and then fires up on its own when the solar panels have built up a bit of charge. It continues into the dark too. I have never needed to charge it. Mother Nature does it for me.I am 100% happy with my purchase and have already started to recommend them to friends with pools.

Dead battery
Bought mine 8/24. It worked great. Its 5/25. I’m opening the pool. Put it on the supplied charger. Only 1 blue light blinks. The goes solid. I unplug the charger and it shuts off and won’t power on. I believe the battery isn’t accepting a charge. I’m trying g to find out if the battery is replaceable. If so, directions to replacing the battery.

Real World Comparison to Competition
I purchased three Robot Skimmers from Amazon and compared them (Betta SE Plus, Beaugather and Nichro). Here are my real world findings. Hope this helps you!Best Overall = Betta SE Plus... here's why:After receiving the Beaugather and Nichro robots, I found they are exactly the same, just different color and labeling. So I am dismissing the Beaugather robot going forward.Nichro Robot:The Nichro robot has no remote control and a smaller basket. To clean the basket, you have to remove the robot from the water which is annoying. The draft is deep and the two left/right bow sections are squared off. If you have a pool vacuum with a hose, the robot will get stuck on the hose easily. In my testing, the Nichro was not only unable to move over the hose, it never tried to reverse and change directions. So it sat pushing against the hose until I manually moved it. I stopped testing the Nichro robot within 10 minutes of use. :(Betta SE Plus:Note that is comparison is to the SE model because it has less draft (3.5" compared to 5" according to Betta's website). I have a Baja Shelf and even though it sits 6" below the water line, I wanted to play it safe and leave more than 1" clearance. It is possible that the deeper draft of the regular non-SE model may have the same problems as the Nichro robot with getting stuck on a vacuum hose. The remote control unit is a good idea; however, the range is horrible. If the robot is more than 15 feet away, the remote does not work. So I do not use it. The basket is larger so it can hold more debris before needing to be emptied. It is easily removable without taking the robot out of the water. While the Betta SE still got stuck on my vacuum hose, it did eventually maneuver itself off the hose after about 5-10 minutes. This is not perfect, so if you have a pool vacuum you may want to reconsider using a skimmer robot altogether. I am going to try and see if there are hose weights which I can add to the hose to force it to remain submerged. I'll try and update this posting if successful. But if you do NOT have a pool vacuum and a hose to contend with, then the Betta SE will work great for you!
