I liked this item when I ordered. When it arrived to wasn’t as sturdy and to be honest I don’t think it will last a year.

I like these suitcases, I bought a set bright shiny yellow so I can spot them easily on the luggage carousel.There is a balance between sturdy and light. These feel light and not that sturdy, we shall see if they survive a round trip to the USA. I have had sturdy suitcases that were very heavy and the baggage handlers hated them and gave them extra abuse.So a lighter one may work.If flying to the USA make sure you order the TSA version and check that they have the red TSA mark and a keyhole or the TSA will break them.The first set of these were not TSA despite the statement that they were.If not Amazon sells TSA locks that fit and look like originals fitted in the case so you can retrofit them.Haupstadtkoffer also make a Matt version (Spree) that may stand up better to baggage handlers as the Alex are very shiny - I am not that worried as long as they hold together and they look like they will.The four wheels turn very easily and run true - pushing them the length of the hallway they ran far and in a straight line and did not fall over.I like the five year warranty, albeit they send out replacement broken parts. Which are easy to swap out.I like they way they nest, Russian Doll style so they take up less space in the house when not travelling.Only marked down because of the number of returns necessary to get the set I ordered.

Would it be too good to be true? Would it be too flimsy as a few reviews have said? As it's a German brand, I was on the optimistic side of pessimistic that the case would be okay and I'm pleased to say that it more than exceeded my expectations. The case is light but durable, come case (flights/ planes and taxis) and have had no issues with the case at all. I do use my own lock and there are a few minor scratches but that's to be expected with a colour pact but still a decent depth to avoid any overpacking issues, something which can cause cases to break anyhow.I've travelled with the case quite a few times (planes/ trains and automobiles) and am pleased with how easy it was to use. A few people have commented on the lock but I use my own and there are a few scratches but that's to be expected with a colour like this. For £70, this case is good value! Six months later, and the case is still working well. It is however getting stuck on small gaps in pavements etc. This could well be my fault because I do carry the case on and off trains a lot and so all that landing on the pavement could be causing the issue.I'd still happily recommend this case.

I bought this case to take as hand luggage for a 2 night stay in Rome. I found it a perfect size to fit all of my clothing and personal items comfortably. The 4 wheels made it a pleasure to walk through the 3 airports (Birmingham, Frankfurt and Rome) on each leg of the journey both ways. I love it for not having to drag it behind me. It also felt very light which was great as pushing it along felt quite effortless.Having two compartments inside made it easier to pack and on arrival at my destination I didn't find everything jumbled up and creased. Big thumbs up for that. On arrival home it was looking as good as new. This case looks very smart, is very functional and very user friendly.It is at a very good price point too.

Perfect size for carry on luggage, light and manoeuvrable, I was delighted with this, until I started to use it. The slightest bump will rip the plastic coating, which is difficult to avoid when you have to cram your case in and out of overhead storage. If not for that, it would get 5 stars, but gets only 3, as it’s not going to be long before it looks completely tatty.

Disappointed first flight with my new suitcase and at the airport the handle would not retract down into the case. Traveled all the way to New Zealand with the handle fully extended very annoying

Packed a whole week worth of clothes,shoes,curlers,towel, bath stuff ect for my holiday to India, Got the Cabin sized suitcase. In total my suitcase weighed 13kg including the weight of the suitcase. It arrived it PERFECT condition so smooth and was in love with the black colour and inside theme. When packed the handle you hold to move it along was a bit wobly and loose so had to keep it short not long to avoid any damage but After my first trip I would say it did well has many scratches but obviously would happen cause I checked it in but it still looks great. I love the built in lock
