Amazing image quality
Amazing lens, I paired it with an R5 and the Canon adapter with the cpl filter.Extremely sharp, very fast and accurate focus, minimal distortion. Also with the above adapter I have a cpl filter which is essential for landscapes and I couldn't have otherwise because of the rounded front of the lens.A bit heavy but it's not that heavier than the Canon RF15-35 f2.8 and the weight is very well balanced. Also it's even a little sharper than the Canon one which I rented just to check and it"s almost half the price (at least when I got it).Amazing.

This lens is a dream come true
I upgraded from a 14mm Rokinon manual lens. That lens was surprisingly good, but not what I wanted for a trip to Chile. This lens is amazing. I was able to get great landscape and Milky Way photos, as well as creative close ups. The focusing is quick and accurate. The lens build is amazing (as are all Sigma art lenses). The zoom is smooth. But best of all, the images pop. They are highly detailed with accurate colors and little distortion. Good contrast, which is one thing my previous super wide lacked. I would say these images are sharper than some Canon L lenses that I have used. The only thing I don’t like is how loose the pull over lens hood is. While hiking, it falls off a lot. To the point that it went in the backpack and thus wasn’t protecting the lens as the camera was over my shoulder.

This lens is amazing!
I will let my photos do the talking once again! A bit heavy but it’s metal and I like the build quality!

Tack Sharp, fast... But Heavy!
What I love:Super wide without fish-eye distortionSharp with wonderful color renditionF2.8 continuous apertureAwesome build quality - smooth focus throughout the rangeAlmost $1000 cheaper than Canon 16-35 f2.8What I don't love:While it features great build quality, this lens is heavy... I nicknamed it "Big Papa". That being said - I carried it, 2 bodies, and 2 other lenses around the woods for hours, so, it's not a deal breaker.Sigma has a real winner here! This is the first Sigma lens I added to my bag and I'm glad I did... a must-have for my landscape photography!

This is my go-to lens for both concert photography and landscapes.
This lens is built like a tank and has a bit of heft, but it helps me capture amazing images, especially in low light. I own seven lenses, and this is the lens I reach for the most. It's a great lens with great characteristics and features.

Exceptionally crisp tack sharp images.
I have had very good luck with matching my Canon cameras with Sigma lenses. I was pleased to see that Sigma started a new line of ART lenses. I ordered this one to replace my old Tokina wide angle. The image quality from the Sigma is much improved over the Tokina. Yes, in both cases they are heavy aspherical lenses but the build on the Sigma is sturdy and the action is smooth. Focusing is also quick. I bought the lens primarily for real estate and so far very pleased with its performance. Attached is one shot from a Senior session.

Have patience
I am using this on a Canon 80D and find that auto focus on close subjects is amazing and the clarity blows away any other lens I own. For subjects further away (landscapes), auto focus is off and manual focus needs to be done. There is little contrast in the images when using this lens so post processing is needed to add blacks and saturation. Over all a fantastic lens and worth the money!

Sadly disappointed. Don't bother unless very well lit.
I had really high hopes for this lens. Unfortunately, it's not good in low-ish light whatsoever. Photographing concerts with flashing lights, lower overall light, no flash allowed in a time frame of three songs gives me limited options when being right up against the stage. The autofocus is absolutely terrible. It struggles to even find the object a few feet away to focus on. The movement on stage is so erratic (rock/metal bands) so manual focusing doesn't give me the most potential to grab jump shots etc. The lens locks easily and focuses ONLY on the background, blurring the main subjects of the photos at least 75% of the time. Half pressing to focus from my view seemed okay, until I saw the final shots and everything is grossly out of focus. I tried this outside in broad daylight and it was fine, but that's not what I got it for. I wasn't shooting in the dark either. My Canon f/2.8 24-70 is insanely better when it comes to autofocusing, exceeding this by far. I have rented sigma lenses (for outdoor shoots) in the past so I was excited to add this one for wide angle shots and was happy to grab it being 2.8. I don't know what else to say other than I am so unbelievably disappointed with the functioning of this thing in light that isn't mostly bright. I wanted to love it. I wanted the range. Sadly I will eventually have to settle with the fixed Canon wide angle lens I had previously tried out despite not having a little extra zoom. I am so disappointed, and now broke from dropping $1200 on something that can't even focus well in half-lit spaces.
