2 x 75ml Tube Solvol Autosol And 2 Microfibre Cloths - Chrome Ali & Metal Polish

I have used this product frequently over the years. It has always been very good at what I've required.The last project required it to stick copper pipe to a stainless pipe (the stainless a sliding fit inside the copper one). The end result had the strength of a soldered joint - almost unbreakable. As most will know, you cannot solder stainless steel pipe to copper (not with plumbing solder) only braze it with bronze filler.From my perspextive its drawback over brazing is having to wait the 24 hours for it to harden to full strength; brazing would result in the job done within minutes of it cooling down.It is excellent for repairing or filling holes in rock or metal. But do not expect a repair on iron, steel and hard metals to be as these metals. It has the same sort of weight and strength including toughness of aluminium. So if you use this product to repair say, cast iron, the repaired secion would have the same behaviours as aluminium insofar as working with it after it has hardened. It would not behave like the cast iron (in that example). It will bond to the iron and provided it wasn't repairing a structural or high stress zone where it would be expected to do the same loads as the damaged part it will be fine.It is excellent for hard materials in particular, repairing or building up. Although it has excellent adhesive qualities (to hard materials) I don't see or use it as a glue for sticking stuff together - but it actually does stick non similar (hard) materials together shockingly well.

I've used this product for years, always gets my engine cases to a high standard. Nothing else comes close.

These items arrived late, I was pleased with the Solvol Autosol but the microfibre cloths were a cheap quality (so thin you could spit through them) not a patch on proper microfibre cloths.

Love this for a copper topped table I use to clean at a clients house . I have also used the product on vehicles . Nice touch getting a couple of cloths with this package too !

Once you shine your item with this you’ll never use anything else.

I use this metal polish for cleaning and polishing 50+ year old tarnished and dirty Minic slot car rails. It brings them up like new. It is simply brilliant. This is my second order. Highly recommend. The microfibre cloths are great too BTW :-)

I found that the chrome exhaust headers on my motorcycle were becoming tarnished after being shotblasted by the grime from the country roads, I tried various polishes but this one is the best I’ve tried.
