does this mirror need to be fitted to a dressing table or can it be free standing?

Hi, Gainsborough dressing table comes with metal plates at the back that can be fitted to the dressing table or other piece of furniture but could also be freestanding as long as the side wings (side mirrors) are in the angle and not being moved. However we recommend using metal plates that are included as this mirror is large and should be secured to whatever piece of furniture it sits on to prevent it from being knocked over. The hinges are finished in a dark brass colour

Does this mirror come with the drawers?

No, it doesn't. You have to buy the drawers separately. I didn't know that when I bought the mirror. It's a nice mirror though.
