SMK-Link VersaPoint Wireless Mouse and Slim Keyboard Desktop Suite (VP6610)

The keyboard is functionally okay. It has the typical key layout and design. The resistance touch is good and the feel of the keys is okay. The touch is quiet, which is a major issue to me. The stand legs are sturdy. However, the keyboard is NOT the one pictured on Amazon's website. There are three zoom-in pictures shown for the keyboard. The main one, also the first of the three, is exactly the keyboard I wanted, and believed I would received. Sadly, it was not that design. The one received was a design that is pictured in the other two zoom-ins. I wanted the one pictured on the site. I saw it at Fry's and liked its touch much more than the one I received.Additionally, the mouse is really substandard. It is very light-weight for those that might prefer that in a mouse, but it feels cheap. The left and right clicks are fine, but the buttons for the forward/backward commands are even cheaper. It is difficult to know when I have actually touched the button, which I personally do not like. Plus, I prefer a bit heavier weighted mouse. Just a preference. I do, however, like the power saver aspect. The NumLock light goes dark when the keyboard has not been touch in five seconds, which must be a help on the keyboard's battery life. Also, the mouse locks when not in use, but simply touching a button brings everything back to life. Nice.Overall, it is an okay keyboard. Would I pick it from the store lineup options, no. I would go with something more along the laptop design; again, just a preference. As for the mouse, well, I am going to purchase a separate wireless Microsoft mouse because that is what I prefer.Finally, I must commend Amazon on its return and replacement process. Very impressive. It was the first time I ever replaced a product with Amazon, and honestly, I was not looking forward to that process. However, with the touch of a few buttons and prompts, I received a phone call from an Amazon representative. That person could not have been more helpful. Kudos Amazon! Impressive. Of course, the replacement item was still the wrong keyboard, but kudos for the process.

Second wireless keyboard/mouse I bought. Keyboard works great but the mouse buttons are horrible. Clicking was really hard, and the laser tracker was really finicky. Ended up buying another wireless mouse. Maybe I just got a bad one with this order.

Amazon needs to address this! The description says "deluxe" size, but it is only a small sample size that the vedor is selling at a price generally charged for the full-sized product.

I absolutely love the slim design. Takes up less desk space. I have one at work and I also bought one for home. Highly recommend!

Love these. I have ordered several for the university. I have not received any complaints.

Mouse started registering each click as double clicks only a couple months after getting it.

Works as expected.

I like the compact design, and the keys have a nice feedback. However, there are a few things I really don't like.- There is no caps lock indicator on the keyboard.- The mouse wheel is super squeaky. Never seen anything like it.- The mouse eats batteries like there's no tomorrow. After three months of usage, my third set of batteries (energizers) is about done.Edited my review and revised it from 4 to 2 stars. Battery life is consistently less than a month for 2 AAA batteries.Attempts to contact SMK support both privately and through my employer brought no reaction. Other SMK mice seem to have battery life issues as well. Too bad.

Just what it said it did, works without line of sight and up to 30 feet away. Got mine on sale for $40 bucks and for that money, great deal!
