S95TR 9.1.5 ch Home Theater Soundbar with Dolby Atmos and Rear Speakers

This is a great bang for you buck sound system - especially with sale prices that come around! Set up was straightforward via the hdmi arc port. The wireless subwoofer and rear speakers connected seamlessly. I don’t have an LG tv so I can’t speak to that set up. This system creates a pretty impressive and immersive sound all in a small and sleek footprint. I upgraded from a Polk audio Atmos soundbar/woofer combo and this BLOWS IT OUT OF THE WATER! It has great clarity, deep bass, and great range. It’s also nice that it has an hdmi in port - not every sound bar has this option. I will add that you have to get the LGthinQ app to be able to easily adjust the settings, tone, levels, etc. This may be different with an LG tv, but with my Sony it’s tough to do anything without the app. I don’t find that I have to change the settings often, so this doesn’t bother me. I haven’t experienced any connection issues or dropping of sound. Overall, this is an awesome soundbar system and a great value (especially when the price drops)

They sound great but the instructions are terrible. I had to go on YouTube to figure some things out. The app is good and makes it easier but the physical set up was a bit annoying.

I really like this soundbar. It pairs perfectly with my 77” LG C4 OLED TV. You can control the soundbar volume with the TV remote. When used with my TV it also activates the “WOW Orchestra” functionality which pulls the two TV speakers into the mix, resulting inan even bigger sound. Between my 77 inch TV and this soundbar, it really gives you an immersive experience just like you’re in a movie theater. I’ve watched a lot of the Marvel super hero movies on Disney+, and when you crank up the volume they sound incredible. The two rear speakers sound very clear and loud and the subwoofer really fills the room with clean bass. Movies with Dolby Atmos sound great on this soundbar although I don’t really discern sound effects coming from above, but it does add a bigger, more immersive experience.

If you're a company that's going to make the bold choice to have everything about your soundbar be configured via an app, you'd better make sure that your app is AMAZING. And that your hardware connects with a variety of WiFi routers. Unfortunately, LG did neither. ☹️ I set this up easily, and everything worked great at the basic level. Solid wireless connection to the subwoofer (which neither Samsung nor Sony can seem to get right), and the rear channels worked great. The overall was good, but not great. But I can't tune the sound or adjust anything without the app, so I was never able to get it to sound great. And unfortunatley, I couldn't set up the soundbar using the app. It always failed at step two of adding the device, which seems to be when the soundbar tries to communicate with the wireless access point. I called LG support seven times (three of those were the system hanging up on me mid-wait), and their tech support wasn't helpful. There seems to be no log files or data that they can look at to see exactly what's going on. It just fails (that error code in the screenshot wasn't indicative of the actual issue), and they could offer no advice on how to get it working. I tried both the Android and iOS apps; I rebooted, reintalled, and re-initiated everything multiple times. Nothing helped. Honestly, it's shocking to me that LG would prefer me to return this product and leave a negative review rather than build things into their system to help with troubleshooting WiFi issues. This soundbar system could have been great, but it's a 1-star product because LG made the entire system reliant upon the app working, and their app/wifi connection piece just doesn't work well.

Sounds amazing. Rear speakers are pretty sizable unlike my previous soundbar, subwoofer is smaller than my previous one though. Due to the Sub and Satellites being 100% wireless, each of them requires a power cord. So you might need to be creative with running power to those depending. The AI Sound Tuning worked great but I really bought this for the Voice Enhancements and I an happy to say that it actually does significantly make hearing dialogue easier. So i'm please that feature works as advertised. The remote does most the features of the App but the App does a way better job at explaining what all of the features do and presents them in a easy to use way. The only goofy thing to me that this soundbar does is after the TV has been off for a while, when it turns on again the soundbar is in mute mode. So it has 3 orange lights. I have to press unmute on the remote to make it work again, weird little quirk i've never run into before with other soundbars.

The LG S95TR 9.1.5 soundbar system could not be better! I have an LG C5 83” TV and was looking for a compatible sound bar. I wasn’t sure I made the right decision until I played music from my Pandora list. WOW!!! The TV mode went off automatically as the music began playing. Everything was easy to set up, just plugged in the A/C cord and Bluetooth took over from there with no added speaker wiring. I think the system has 810 watts so power and clear sound quality and volume is not an issue. I also looked at Bose, Sonos, and Samsung soundbars but it seemed matching an LG TV to a LG soundbar made the most sense and it is definitely compatible. I also considered the LG H7 but adding speakers to create surround sound could get pricey and after listening to this system I really don’t know how it could sound any better!!!

If you buy this at Full Retail Price, it is not worth the price of over a Thousand Dollars. It is a good value when on sale, check price history. Voice clarity is much better than a stock TV. You may not need closed caption as often. Bluetooth connectivity has been excellent for ALL of our devices. Overall the sound is good, not as good as the old C. V. D-5 or D-7’s from the 80’s. This system has some good options and it pairs very well with the LG 77 OLED TV. You “MUST” be home to immediately inspect the box before you accept the delivery and box. Our box was damaged and the sound system appears to be working well to date. Overall = B +. Larger speakers would bring this up to an A. Your TV room is unique, and it may sound better or worse. Yes, I recommend this system when on Sale. Price is always a factor.

I bought the latest 77" LG tv at the same time as the LG S95TR 9.1.5-Channel . I had a BW sound bar from 2015 and the LG tv was OLED65CXPUA from 2021. The upgrade of both is AMAZING ! I live in a concrete house and with an open living space, so the sound is very hard to tweak because of the echo. There is a software that adjusts the soundbar and the other 2 speakers and the bass. The fine tuning is done in seconds and is dot on! The combination of all the LG components works so well. If you already have a sound system that is even a few years old, do not hesitate to up grade. You will not regret it and you deserve it!

This is my first home theatre of this kind, and I’m absolutely thrilled with it. I got it for ₹52,000 after the card discount and cashback during the Independence Day sale, and I genuinely feel it was worth every rupee. The movie experience is on another level—immersive, powerful and incredibly detailed. What impressed me even more is the music performance. The sound is so well balanced and easy on the ears that I can listen for long periods without feeling the need to constantly reach for the remote. Unlike my earlier 2.1 music systems, where I often had to reduce the bass because it became overpowering, this system has excellent bass control and tuning. Every note feels perfectly balanced, with clear vocals, detailed highs and impactful yet controlled bass. Perfect tuning, fantastic cinematic experience, and superb music reproduction. No complaints whatsoever. Completely satisfied with my purchase. Highly recommended!
