Lodge ASAHH41 Silicone Assist Handle Holder, Red (2-Pack)

I put these on my pan on the stove and one of them burnt, a white burn. I didn't think that was possible or I wouldn't have left them on the pan. I guess they are just like little pot holders that you put on at the end to lift. I put them on ahead of time, as I thought it would be easier.

I hate these. They may be rated to not melt at 450 degrees but I don’t want to feel any heat from the pan, which is why I bought them in the first place. They are sturdy silicone, feel like plastic. And they do fit the pan very well. But They do get hot. I have Kitchen Grips for my Le Cruset; not a problem. I don’t feel anything coming through those. I have only used the Lodge holders twice (gave them a second chance). I use pot holders to maneuver my Lodge pan around. I wanted to return these and get a different type of holder but my bad, I didn’t pay attention to the return deadline - missed it by 3 days! I do not recommend these holders.

They do what they are supposed to do and take up less room in a drawer than a traditional set of pot holders. I just store them in a cast iron dutch oven, which is what I use them on.

I had to send all the handle protectors back because they did not fit. Apparently they are not made for the Lodge Chef fry pan design. That would be a helpful piece of information when describing these items.

These are what description says. They work with cast iron pans. Really like. I would gift these.

I think they are good as you don't need to look for a hot pad
