So as you can see this bed is already canine approved! I had ordered two 8” memory foam mattresses for it but the 8” doesn’t fit on the under bed trundle. So we keep it on top of the one on top until we need to use the trundle. The need requires two people to set up when doing the support rails. If you don’t have a second person to help line things up you will be cursing and readjusting for HOURS trying to get everything to fit. It’s a nice bed but it also squeaks a ton. Think of putting a flat board under each mattress to see if that helps the squeaking from support pills rattling around.

Product description states it recommends a 6 to 8” mattress for each. After getting the daybed and trundle together though, there is only 7” of clearance for a mattress on the trundle! Good thing I didn’t get my mattresses ahead of time. 6” seems awfully thin for adults to sleep on, so I purchased a king-size pillowtop mattress cover to add on when I have it put together as a king-size bed. Added a few extra inches, and felt nice, but can also fold up nicely into the linen closet when I have the trundle down. Bed and trundle seem pretty sturdy, my husband and I both slept on it just fine.

Assembly was quick about 1-2 hours. Bottom bed rolls smoothly and fits about a 6 in. mattress underneath. We’ve only used this a little over a week for guests in our spare bedroom…time will tell, but it seems sturdy and worth the price.

I bought this day bed for my daughter. It says it has a weigh limit of 250 lbs. My daughter and one of her friends was were sitting on the bed at rhe same time. They could feel the bed bowing. The two of them put together is maybe 200 lbs if that. We have to fid a way to stabilize it she and her friends can sit on it like a day bed when they watch TV.
