Hearth & Garden SF40222 Stack of Chair Covers

last spring we bought a new set of patio furniture. We went for a good quality set and the fabric was Sunbrella, fade resistant. Turns out after 3 months they were faded pretty badly. So we called the company and they sent us new chairs. Only took about 6 months to get the replacements, not what I would call fast service.Now even though these chairs are "fade resistant" too, I am not falling that a second time. So I bought these covers to protect the chairs from the elements.The covers arrived today, and based off the price I was a bit skeptical as to their quality. Well I was pleasantly surprised because they appear to be of a good quality. I hope to get some good use out of these covers.***6/17/16 update*** These covers gave me two good years of service. After a year they were fading quite a bit, but still functional. Then this year I could tell they were starting to get a bit thin and fragile. Well pulling them off the chairs last week I ripped the cover. So I needed a new cover, and for $10 I ordered these again. $5 a year to protect my chairs, that's not too bad. And these are outdoors in direct sunlight all year long and even get to put up with our winters because I do not bring the chairs indoors during the winter. The chairs look great and seem to stay well protected, even when covered in a foot of snow.

Stacked 4 chairs with cushions. Took the cushion off the bottom chair and placed it on top of the top chair to make it fit.Pretty heft stack. I'm giving it 3 stars because it only lasts about 2-3 winters before you have to replace it. It justeventually starts tearing and they just get worse over time due to the weathering. But for this price its alright to replaceevery couple years. Wish they made a more durable material. Bought in May 2010, need to replace soon.Update: I ordered a new one and tossed the old one. This version of the product is slightly updated from the prior version that I had. Before the material was the same inside and out a thick plastic material. Now It has an internal liner which hopefully will add in its longtime durability. I moved it up from 3 to 4 stars because it seems like they are now making a better quality item.

This cover is a lot more substantial that I expected for the money. It appears like it will hold up well during the winter season to protect my chairs. I was able to successfully cover 6 stacked chairs but it was tight. I think I'll order another and then just do 3 chairs per cover. I like that it has a mesh area to allow the cover to breathe. Taupe color looks nice against my house. Way better than the big box cheap green covers that didn't last through last years winter.Might even purchase a table cover too.

It's been a few months, there's been torrential rain, frost, a touch of snow, not season for big snow yet, but it's big and covering well. It's covering all of the 4 stackable outdoor chairs in the backyard. The material is sturdy and strong, firm. It seems like it'll do the job. But we'll see, after a season of vast temperature fluctuations, by next spring, if it holds up. But looks promising so far.

This is a good cover to protect a stack of patio chairs, a tall stack. My first one lasted a little less than two years, but coastal Florida is pretty tough on fabrics - sun, heat, lots of rain I noticed a large rip , and discovered that the whole surface was as brittle as paper. Nonetheless, I purchased another to replace it, the price of replacing the cover from time to time is a good deal less than the cost of one that will last longer (sunbrella or similar). Cover is also quite attractive.

I purchased four of these covers, not for stacking chairs but for my new, high-style patio chairs. The chairs are swivel barstool style chairs around a high patio table. The covers fit perfectly. The material is very good quality and each cover has a screen port (to release trapped wind) and a tether so you can hook it around a chair leg to prevent it from blowing away during a storm. Someone must have figured this out and engineered these solutions into the product. Works great for my application - and would work well for stacking chairs as well.Update: 6-30-16 Do not expect these covers to last more than 2 years if exposed to sunlight and weather. After 2 years, these covers lost their integrity and literally fell apart. If they are under a porch covering, they might do much better. I was disappointed they didn't last longer.

I received the Hearth & Garden chair cover a couple days ago. After removing it from the packaging, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the material and how heavy it was. I immediately put the cover over my 5 stackable patio chairs and 3 small stackable tables. It easily covered all completely and had room to spare! I have my covered chairs under an open over hang so they won't be exposed to sun or rain, but where I live there are often gusty winds. I will have to see how the cover holds up.

I was actually quite pleasantly surprised by the overall fabrication of these covers. Appears to be well made and durable. Nice touch to have the breathing holes. I was so pleased I ordered another cover.

I ordered this chair cover to protect a stack of plastic chairs on our boat from harmful UV rays and seagull poop. The fabric is very sturdy and attractive. I think it will serve well for a long time. The price was well worth it for the product.
