This would have to be a good friend of course, I don't share MY CUBE with any casual.I was looking to find a unique side table for some chaises I have outdoors. Everything seemed so banal... Until... I found... THE CUBE.Decent size? YESSolid reviews? YESWaterproof? YESRemote control? YESDifferent colors? YESDifferent effect? YESCons:1. Extremely hard to capture the wonder of THE CUBE on the iphone. Apple cannot keep up with the advanced technology of the LEDs found in the cube. It means it needs to be appreciated in person.2. Upon your first dazzling light show, you will want to redecorate your home in LED cubes. Fight it. Its an amazing addition but I think your friends/family would start to question your judgement when sleeping on LED pillows.Rules:1. Even though it is waterproof, protect your CUBE!!! Mine sleeps outside but under protection of an awning.2. Keep the charger somewhere dry, its not waterproof!!! Also per the Q&A section, I don't keep it permanently on the charger. I only charge it when I've used it multiple times or for an extended period and take it off when that sweet little green light turns on telling me THE CUBE is ready to shine.Bottom Line: GET IT. I'm obsessed with my cube, great lights, great battery. Having this as an accent makes you a cooler better human. Its a great price and I fully intend on turning it orange and drawing a face on it for halloween.PS. THE CUBE really set the mood for the Blood Moon. I set that baby on red and cranked "The Dark Side of the Moon". I know how to party.

This is a fantastic concept poorly executed. I bought two of these to use as bedside tables. The light is wonderful. The color choices are cool. There are several problems, however. First, the surfaces are not flat, they bulge out significantly, so anything placed on them rolls or slides off. This might just be a production run problem since other photos of the product here show what appear to be flat surfaces. When I ask the seller for replacements they suggested taking a refund instead, which is what I did.A second problem is the way they are charged. You must place them on inductive chargers that are smaller than the cubes, so the cubes "wobble" when being charged. The instructions caution that you should not overcharge the cubes, so there is no easy "permanent" solution that doesn't involve taking everything off of the cube, aligning it with the charging platform, and then reversing the process after charging. You can't just leave the cubes on their charges.Finally, the most bizarre quirk of all. When I use my remote control to adjust the volume of the bedroom TV it controls the lights as well, randomly switching light colors, flashing lights on and off, etc. 'Bit of a mood breaker...So, back they go.

I was so disappointed upon setting up the item because the remote control didn't work. So I replaced the battery right away hoping it would help. Nope, it didn't. So, I left the cube plugged into electrical outlet hoping it would help charge up the inside LED lights and it never fully illuminated after being charged for 48 hours. The entire experience was disappointing. I spent little money on replacement batteries trying to fix the problem in addition to not being able to use the time for a house warming party I was having. I would not recommend this product.

Well, shipping took a while due to the product being on back-order. I wish the product listing had been updated, as I was unaware of the back-order until a week after I placed my order.The cubes finally arrive this week, and I was very impressed with them. Being LED bulbs, you never know how bright they will actually be until you see it in person. Fortunately, the bulbs inside the cube are very bright, and fully illuminated the cube in vibrant hues of red, green, blue, yellow, pink, purple, and white. The remote control allows you to change colors, increase/decrease brightness, and control the speed at which the colors change automatically (if you have the color-changing function enabled).Only a few disappointments:1) I thought the cube would be one seamless piece of molded plastic, but there is a definite "seam" running across the middle of it. This won't be noticeable at night when the cube is lit up, but it definitely breaks the clean, "high budget" look that you are probably going for with these cubes.2) the charging base is not weatherproof. This means you need to bring the cubes inside to charge them.3) the directions clearly state that it is "IMPERATIVE" for you to remove the cube from the charging station as soon as it's finished charging. I was planning on leaving the cubes plugged in at all times, since I don't really need to move them around, and didn't want to bother moving them on and off of the charging station. Well, that's not possible. Not only is the charging station indoors-only, but the cube cannot stay on it for longer than 4 hours. So if you plan to use these on a regular basis, you are going to be porting them back and forth between the patio and wherever your charging station is located, but can't leave it there for more than 4 hours.Overall, it's a very well-made product considering the price tag. But don't expect it to match the build quality of the ones sold by Design Within Reach. But like I said, for the price, it's amazing.
