Oh come on, you people who wrote bad reviews! This has got to be the BEST spice that exists! I cannot think of one complaint! ✨🌟🌠 I have been using the wood chips of dried galangal for months and had so much energy over them! I was thinking that it would be easier if I could get the ground spice! As soon as I did, it was out of this universe! I have been having on and off throat viruses for over a year and used basically every style of cough medicine, drop, and immune herb, but just feel like every time the cough leaves, it could spring back up with no warning! Not anymore! With this galangal, ground, my throat finally, completely got the deep comfort and delight I was looking for! This is just beyond wonderful!

I use this herbal spice in curries, teas, vegetables, meat rubs--anything that I want to impart a complex flavor of ginger with unami undertones. The powdered form is so quick and convenient for getting the flavor you want without the time-consuming, age-old method of soaking to coax out the flavor from the sliced woody root form. The powdered form is clean, pure, disolves easily and strong flavored. It was delivered promptly in a heavy-duty, easily reseable, plastic zip-lock bag. Excellent!
